This beautiful hotel is located in the Old City, just a short walk to shops and restaurants and to the steps and funicular to Old Town From the time that I made our reservation, to the day we checked in, the staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. Marilyn (sorry probably the wrong spelling!) , Rebecca, and Stephanie are the best front desk staff! Alex, the Concierge was helpful with maps and directions. We had a corner room with three great window views. We could see Chateau Frontenac from one window and the water from the two other windows. Our beds were comfortable and we slept great. The best feature of our room was the amazing shower!! It was a nice way to cool off after walking around all day. The housekeeping staff were ready to provide us with clean towels for our 4-day stay. My husband has a spinal cord injury and needs ice packs to rest his neck. One young man, I know his name started with M, got an extra ice bucket for my husband. The restaurant Brasserie Les Mordus was a great place to start our day. I have celiac disease. Our server, Heidi, took great care of me and the kitchen was able to provide gluten-free toast for me. Try the raspberry butter that is made on Iles d'Orleans. I was able to purchase some to bring home with us. Heidi was delightful and made sure we had a window table. Always had a smile on her face. Zola took care of us one evening when we had dinner. Very friendly and engaging. We can't say enough good things about our stay at this hotel. I know that my review is long but it has been such a long time, just like everyone else, since we travelled. This was a perfect place to celebrate a birthday too!…
Extremely comfortable Queen size beds. Very central location at the top of the hill in the old town. Good size room for two people. We had a view of Le Chateau Frontenac which was quite magical in the snow! Modern, clean bathroom with great shower. WiFi connection good.
Excellent stay, here’s why: - smooth check in / check out - clean and renovated room and bathroom - comfy bed (at least, I thought so) - nice city view - requested fridge in room and got one (thanks!) - office space to work - lots of lighting in room if needed, including in the ceiling - GREAT location, safe area, walking distance to everything in the old city, close to highway by car. - VERY practical parking situation: underground access to SPAQ Hôtel de Ville parking through the hotel’s basement! Can also get in and out privileges through hotel’s valet parking. - access to restaurant Les Mordus from hotel lobby (only downside is no room service) Whether on a business or personal trip, I’d definitely book my stay there again!
Overall, I liked the place : great location that you can walk to almost everything; room was clean and renovated. There was just a few things that annoyed me and made the experience not as great: bed was okay, ended up with a sore back the next mornings, smoke detector light flashing just over the bed (hard to sleep when you are a light sleeper like me) and fridge was too cold (impossible to adjust from inside the fridge).
Great location to explore the old city, lots of great restaurants nearby, in hotel restaurant was good for breakfast. Staff friendly and bilingual, valet parking and drop off easy, room clean and comfortable. Elevator for easy movement, worth a stay
