We had a wonderful stay at the Auberge Saint Pierre for our recent group holiday to Quebec City. The hotel was lovely and the location was excellent. All the staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The free 24hr free coffee and hot chocolate was a huge bonus and greatly appreciated. Since we booked directly with the hotel, we received free breakfast, which was wonderful each morning. Breakfast is table service and there are two choices that are included with options to upgrade to additional choices for an extra fee. There was an ice and water dispenser in the lobby as well that was much appreciated. The rooms have great character with high ceilings and very nice, clean, modern decor. The beds were very comfortable with excellent down comforters and pillows. Sheets were very high quality. We would most definitely stay at this hotel again as it offers a perfect location for a great value in a boutique setting with lots of character.

A wonderful Christmas in Quebec.
Spent 6 nights at this lovely hotel and it never once felt like a hotel. The staff were always very warm and welcoming and the hotel itself was absolutely wonderful and comfortable. It is located is a great location and a short walking distance to everything in Old Quebec, even in the cold and snow.
My son and I stayed in a mini suite room and it was well worth it and more than you could get at the more expensive hotels in Quebec. I will definitely stay here again as the entire team made you feel like family. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas!

We booked four nights as a 30th anniversary getaway and got a suite for a very reasonable price. The hotel was very nice, but the restaurant and many of the amenities were unavailable due to the pandemic. Our room was great, with a sitting area, kitchenette and sleeping area. The hotel is perfectly located in the lower town, just steps from a dozen art galleries, restaurants and the museum of civilization. Umbrellas were available to guests on rainy days and they RE-stocked the supply so that you were never without one if needed. We will definitely be going back!

The Auberge is located in the heart of the old lower city across from the Museum of Civilization (excellent) and near the funicular to the upper city; Hotel 71 is a sister facility sharing a lounge and reception. We greeted warmly by Jinmy at reception. He was outstanding in providing help with needs during our stay, suggesting great local restaurants, a jazz club, and booking reservations for same. Our room was a suite with an excellent shower, soaking tub, sitting area, kitchen with dining table. Daily room service is available unless you request no service, and the room was exceptionally clean and well-kept. There is a self-serve wine bar in the lobby as well as coffee and tea with ample seating areas to read, talk or play a game of cards or chess. Breakfast is provided in the lobby for a charge. The in-room kitchen is ample enough to fix a meal or two but there are so many wonderful restaurants in the immediate vicinity that we chose to sample the Quebec cuisine rather than fix our own. The Auberge was very attentive to health measures with hand sanitizing stands and measures for room and common area cleaning and safe seating distances. Thank you to the staff and management of the Auberge for making our vacation getaway in Quebec a delight.

This was our first time at the Auberge Saint-Pierre... and we will return. The main reason is the very helpful, genuine, friendly staff. In particular, Thomas (Bellman) was great. The
bed was super comfortable, great hot water & pressure in the shower, and the breakfast is good. The location is, of course, outstanding. WiFi is iffy, seating at breakfast is not the most comfortable, and the hotel is a bit more expensive than the last place we stayed - hence a four star, not five.

Warm friendly staff. Great location. Excellent room, very comfortable beds. Can adjust the heating to suit yourself, and it was lovely to be able to open the window (didn't stay open long in -30 degrees!)
The coffee machine was available all day and night (plus you had a coffee machine and a kettle in your room) and served great coffees, hot chocolate and various teas. The restaurant and room service were good.
Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby if you didn't want to restrict yourself to the hotel. It's just a short walk to the funicular if you don't want to climb the hill/steps!
Many thanks to Francine and Matthew who were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The entire staff was wonderful! From housekeeping, to the maintenance staff ,the front desk, breakfast and concierge all the people who made my trip a once in a lifetime event, thank you.

Even though snow delayed our trip by a day, the whole experience was just as I imagined it and I could have not experienced a better time. My only regret is that I did not make this trip when I was 10 years younger. Then I would have ice skated, snowshoed and ridden a dog sled.

Walking the old city for two days was exhilarating and gave me all the exercise I wanted. Dressing for the cold made the trip all the more pleasant so even with the low temperatures (- degrees) , I never regretted walking around the city, even climbing all the steep stair cases. The shops were lovely and the scenery was beautiful.

So again, to the staff of the Saint Pierre, thank you for all your efforts and generous help.

We thoroughly recommend Auberge St. Pierre as a perfect place to stay while visiting Quebec City. We stayed there for one week. The location is so central to the lower old Quebec City - literally right outside the door! All the shops and restaurants of the lower and upper town are within easy walking distance. The incredible Museum of Civilization is right across the street and well worth visiting. We stayed in a suite with a king sized bed in a loft with stairs down to a comfortable living space and simple kitchen area. The stairs were very stable and well railed so I felt comfortable descending them, even at night, and I do have some balance issues. The hotel has quite a few very comfortable areas to socialize and enjoy drinks or special coffees, a spa, and a nice breakfast room that served a tasty breakfast buffet with simple but very good choices each morning. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Jimmy, in particular, was outstanding in his friendly demeanour and conversations with us during our week stay! The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel was just excellent! We highly recommend Auberge St Pierre to anyone looking for a very comfortable, convenient, well staffed hotel in Quebec City!

A lovely hotel with an excellent location for exploring the old city and convenient for a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops. The room was clean and well appointed and we appreciated the little extras such as free coffee in the reception areas and places to sit and relax. However, it is the staff that make this place special. Very welcoming, nothing is any trouble - whether it is advice on where to eat or places to see and things to do they are very happy to help and that creates a wam and friendly atmosphere. We really appreciated all the help that Jimmy, in particular, gave us - he was so accommodating and knowledgable and did everything with a smile on his face. We would certainly come back here if we return to Quebec City.

We spent five nights here, having reserved a room with a roomy sitting area, small kitchen with table, queen bed, and a large bath. The hotel, originally a bank with high ceilings and woodwork, is on a quiet street, and has been very tastefully renovated and decorated in an understated contemporary style throughout. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and like most people we encountered in Quebec, spoke English well. Our suite was spacious, well-lit, comfortable, and immaculate. There was a TV both in the bedroom nook and in the sitting area. The breakfast (not included in the room rate) was excellent, with fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, baked goods, juices, and a cappuccino and latte machine. Our only criticism was that when we were leaving, the porter did not help us take our bags down the short but steep flight of stairs or load them into our car - just plunked our bags down at the top of the stairs. We surmised that the hotel, like a lot of places, has a labor shortage.
