The combined beauty and elegance of its 200 year-old façade with the natural warmth of its interior with parquet flooring and exposed stone and brick walls is, quite simply, beautiful. Auberge Saint-Pierre garners compliments for its exceptional staff and quaint charm, offering travelers a clean and comfortable European-styled retreat. The hotel's prime location is celebrated by guests for its proximity to Quebec's key attractions. While the overall value receives mixed reviews due to some underwhelming services, such as breakfast, the accommodations themselves are often noted for their cleanliness and comfort. Despite some remarks about the rooms' size and amenities, many visitors find the hotel's ambiance and convenience make for a delightful stay.

From their french doorman hurrying down the road to help us with our bags when we arrived, to the grand size of the room, we enjoyed our stay here.

It’s an excellent location and easy to walk back to.

Some minor gripes: the sink was already damaged and not fixed. And the drainage speed is very slow.

The cleaners don’t match the friendliness of the staff and didn’t hoover up some confetti from my daughter’s toy for a day or two.

We feel they should change their laundry service list so it tells people it’s €35 per bag. We followed the list (which has per item costs) and gave them only a few items, but after realised we could have filled the bag for the same price.

Bonjour, Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting both the positives and areas for improvement. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the location and room size. We apologize for the issues with the sink and drainage, and for any lapses in cleaning. Your comments on the laundry service are valuable, and we’ll work on making that information clearer. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back and provide an even better experience.

A charming Pension, in the heart of Old Quebec, near antique dealers and art dealers. A piece of jewelry at a reasonable Award. The staff is very courteous and a valet service is offered to park the car. Great luxury.

It is worth booking directly with the Inn, as Awards are often lower than those found on sites like Booking. In addition, you can get discounts if you are a CAA member or a senior and it is easier to cancel. With commercial sites, it is impossible to avail oneself of these advantages.

It's always easier to talk to a receptionist and say we're old customers. Because it earned us an upgrade. A magnificent suite on three levels, with whirlpool bath and kitchen area. The sales coordinator decided to reward our loyalty. It was a great stay.

We have booked at Auberge Saint-Pierre for two nights with a different package for each day: One night package with breakfast and parking and the other night, same thing adding gourmet dinner.

The hotel is located in the heart of Old Quebec. Our suite was great, clean and complete. All the front desk staff (including the baggage handler/valet was excessively kind and cooperative in every respect. Only disappointment (for the total cost price for two days, the continental breakfast was fresh, good but very ordinary but limited for a hotel of this quality. In fact, this breakfast is offered by the two partner hotels: Auberge Saint-Pierre and Hotel 71. For more than $1,000. charged for both nights/packages , this meal could have been more hearty.

Speaking of meals: the package included a gourmet dinner at Il Matto restaurant located inside the 2 hotels. It is true that it is considered a gourmet restaurant but I would call it rather a very good restaurant. The food is very good but the presentation leaves much to be desired and is even ordinary (again for the cost price to customers). What makes up for it all is the personalized service to the guests that is extraordinary, especially by Felix who was attentive and super-kind.

Me and my wife went to this hotel in September 2024, rooms were small, Air Con was poor and the continental breakfast was very average, one morning they ran out of toast.
The location is really good to explore Quebec which is an amazing city.
What i was really disappointed with is when I checked out I paid my invoice in full or so I thought, about 2 weeks later they took some more money from my credit card without contacting me or my authorization.
I suggest that you don't leave your credit card details with this hotel and pay as you go.

The Auberge is located in the heart of the old lower city across from the Museum of Civilization (excellent) and near the funicular to the upper city; Hotel 71 is a sister facility sharing a lounge and reception. We greeted warmly by Jinmy at reception. He was outstanding in providing help with needs during our stay, suggesting great local restaurants, a jazz club, and booking reservations for same. Our room was a suite with an excellent shower, soaking tub, sitting area, kitchen with dining table. Daily room service is available unless you request no service, and the room was exceptionally clean and well-kept. There is a self-serve wine bar in the lobby as well as coffee and tea with ample seating areas to read, talk or play a game of cards or chess. Breakfast is provided in the lobby for a charge. The in-room kitchen is ample enough to fix a meal or two but there are so many wonderful restaurants in the immediate vicinity that we chose to sample the Quebec cuisine rather than fix our own. The Auberge was very attentive to health measures with hand sanitizing stands and measures for room and common area cleaning and safe seating distances. Thank you to the staff and management of the Auberge for making our vacation getaway in Quebec a delight.

The hotel property is fine but they ignored communications regarding an overcharge. We had booked our room at the hotel's website and the price was noted to include breakfast at the hotel. When we checked in, we tried to confirm that breakfast was included but was told it was not. As a result, we chose to eat elsewhere both mornings we were at the hotel.

When we checked out, with a different clerk, we again raised the issue. This clerk looked up our reservation and confirmed that breakfast was supposed to be included, and that was shown on the invoice. We explained that we had been told otherwise when we checked in. This clerk apologized but declined our request to have our bill adjusted to refund the costs of the breakfasts that should have been included ($24 per person, per day).

I attempted to resolve this dispute by twice sending emails to the information email address provided on the hotel’s website. After not receiving a response to either email, I sent a third email to an address on the website for the hotel manager. That email bounced back as undeliverable.

It's unacceptable to have a hotel fail to communicate with a guest about disputed charges.

Very nice welcome and service from the staff, perfect location to make the beautiful restaurants near the hotel. Without being extravagant, there is everything you need for lunch. Very well soundproofed, we could not hear noise from our suite. Only downside, the bathroom of 301 needs a lot of love, should be renovated. A grab bar should be installed to help board the bath for added safety. Also there are 2 steps to get there and it is dangerous at night. I missed a walk and fell, fortunately without seriousness.

We thoroughly recommend Auberge St. Pierre as a perfect place to stay while visiting Quebec City. We stayed there for one week. The location is so central to the lower old Quebec City - literally right outside the door! All the shops and restaurants of the lower and upper town are within easy walking distance. The incredible Museum of Civilization is right across the street and well worth visiting. We stayed in a suite with a king sized bed in a loft with stairs down to a comfortable living space and simple kitchen area. The stairs were very stable and well railed so I felt comfortable descending them, even at night, and I do have some balance issues. The hotel has quite a few very comfortable areas to socialize and enjoy drinks or special coffees, a spa, and a nice breakfast room that served a tasty breakfast buffet with simple but very good choices each morning. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Jimmy, in particular, was outstanding in his friendly demeanour and conversations with us during our week stay! The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel was just excellent! We highly recommend Auberge St Pierre to anyone looking for a very comfortable, convenient, well staffed hotel in Quebec City!

We spent five nights here, having reserved a room with a roomy sitting area, small kitchen with table, queen bed, and a large bath. The hotel, originally a bank with high ceilings and woodwork, is on a quiet street, and has been very tastefully renovated and decorated in an understated contemporary style throughout. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and like most people we encountered in Quebec, spoke English well. Our suite was spacious, well-lit, comfortable, and immaculate. There was a TV both in the bedroom nook and in the sitting area. The breakfast (not included in the room rate) was excellent, with fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, baked goods, juices, and a cappuccino and latte machine. Our only criticism was that when we were leaving, the porter did not help us take our bags down the short but steep flight of stairs or load them into our car - just plunked our bags down at the top of the stairs. We surmised that the hotel, like a lot of places, has a labor shortage.
