This hotel is quaint and in the heart of old town Quebec CITY. If you are a first timer, get a room looking the Frontenac hotel and street, if not, get a back room. Excellent place to stay and enjoy all this city has to offer. Comfortable rooms and affordable.

Stayed for two nights. Excellent location. Close to good restaurants and right in front of chateau Frontenac. The food in their restaurant 1640 was excellent. The staff was very courteous. Breakfast was included and very good by the way. Great choice for the price. Recommend without reservations.

I stayed here for two nights. I came with low expectations given the mixed reviews. However, the place was great. Location was superb, staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and well furnished. The free wifi was fast and reliable. The restaurant on the ground floor was good too.

Stayed here 2 nights last week and WOW! Pulled up and got out onto the cobbles outside, a saxophone was playing, chateau Frontenac was lit up and the hotel's restaurant was full with life - excellent first impression. Continued inside and the guy on reception was very friendly showing us specifically on the map where we could park the car...

We stayed 3 nights and couldn't have picked a better place. Right on the main square with a view out to the beautiful Frontenac hotel and square. It was incredibly quaint. The breakfast is great value and delicious. You can walk everywhere from here and most tours depart from just out front. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great value...

This hotel couldn't be in a better location. We were in the heart of the city, directly across from the Chateau de Frontenac and steps from the "Break Neck" staircase down to the Lower City. Plus, we were two or three doors down from the Tourist Office, so if you were going on a walking tour, or to schedule any...

we recently returned from a 3 night stay here. Location can't be beat especially if you are carless! Everything right outside your door. We had the meal plan so our breakfasts were included. They were delicious!!highly recommend. The dining room is very nicely decorated and must have recently been upgraded. Very charming! But you do have to carry your suitcase...

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Old City. It is across Chateau de Frontenac. The 1640 Restaurant located at the Ground Floor serves excellent food and reasonably priced. Presentation of food was also such a delight. Arrived early and though receptionist seems hesitant to even check our booking confirmation sheet because it wasn't time to check in...

Great value in the heart of old Quebec City directly opposite the Chateau Frontenac. Perfect position for a short stay to explore the city. We dined in the restaurant and the food was delicious and the service excellent. Would definitely recommend this. Excellent to have free WiFi.

I booked the Auberge du Tresor at the last minute. The rates were low and the location was perfect. Located across the street from the Chateau and in the heart of the Old City, you could not ask for a better small hotel. Dining was excellent as the bar maid makes a perfect martini and can pick out a perfect...
