This is a beautiful hotel. The entire experience from start to finish was amazing. Front desk staff were very warm & welcoming. The check-in process was quick & easy. Parking lot is right beside the hotel which was very convenient. The entire hotel is very-well maintained. Breakfast & service was very good. The rooms are large, beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

The front desk staff was gracious and accommodating. They even allowed an early morning check-in around 9:00 AM. We were there for three nights, and everything went well. The room was comfortable and clean, but it was odd there were no window screens. We asked for a microwave and it was delivered promptly. The included breakfast is not a buffet. There is excellent table service, and the cooked-to-order food is delicious, really a cut above the average Best Western. I don’t normally like omelettes, but I found the light texture of theirs was perfect. We did not try the separate restaurant/bar which is open evenings, but it’s good that it is there because you might not want to walk around after dark. There is a convenience store/depanneur right across the street. It is very unfortunate there are still no self-service laundry machines on the property. The “lavoir” (laundromat) that used to be a block away is closed, and the nearest lavoir is a few kilometers away (!) You can use the dry cleaning service the hotel provides, but for our basic clothes we felt this was not a good use of our money. Best Western, please make sure there is a laundry in all of your properties. Also, travelers should be aware that this property is very close to some extremely run down apartment buildings or possibly public housing. We felt OK because we just took Ubers directly to and from Vieux Quebec, but we would not want to walk in some parts of the rue du Roi even in the daytime.

This hotel is in a good location about 30 minutes walking distance from downtown Quebec. There are some restaurants, cafes and stores in the area but downtown Quebec has more restaurants. The hotel breakfast was very good and filling for the entire day, unlike many hotel breakfasts these days. The breakfast service was very good and the waiters are very nice. When we arrived to the hotel we had some issues with our fridge and TV and the front desk promptly sent someone to our room to fix the issue. The room itself wasn't bad and had comfortable beds and good shower equipment. The only thing I had was the interior of the room and parts of the hotel were a bit outdated but other than that, the value for the price we paid was absolutely worth it.

When we arrived the hotel, the parking was full, so we had to park in the garage cross street. However due one way and nearby road constructions, it took me 15 minutes to find the parking entrance The room is out of date with odor. The cleaning of the room is a big concern, we found 2 flying bugs in the room and had to start killing them. We also found leftover fries underneath the small table. The pillow was really not comfortable. The tub facuet was leaking when showerhead was on and 1/3 water just leaked away. We stayed 4 nights and there was no room cleaning service on the first day. We came back during late night and found out there was no clean work done, so we had to call front desk to have someone to come to collect garbage bags and give us clean towels. I asked the front desk “Do you provide room service”, they said yes and sorry for missing the room cleaning. On second day, they came to clean the room. On the third day, they didn’t come to clean room again. After returning the hotel at 10pm, I had to call the front desk to come to collect garbage bags, to give us toilet paper and towels. We stayed total 4 nights, but only got one time room cleaning. The second day (Friday morning, August 26th) we waited over an hour before having the breakfast. The young waiter didn’t put our orders in the system at all. We found something was wrong after 45 minutes waiting and I went to ask the young waiter what happened to our orders, he didn’t have any response, then I had to ask another senior waiter, he found out something was wrong and replaced our orders. Then finally we got the food in about another 15 minutes, but the egg was cooked in wrong way, they had to take back the food and recook the eggs. After over 1 hour waiting, we finally had our breakfast. So just for the breakfast, we had to spend over 1.5 hours. At the beginning of ordering, we asked for Soy milk, the young waiter said no soy milk, which was a lie, as we had soy milk on the first day. After the initial ordering, he said “no problem, my friend”. Then there was a big problem, he didn’t put our order in the system at all. Our family (3 persons) were very unhappy with this kind of breakfast service. After breakfast, The waiter brought me a bill with 1 cent of charge, then told me that I need to pay $15 for the tips (the service charge). Then I paid for it, I am sure not all hotel guests know about service charge, some guests might never know about it.

Although this hotel is in a good location of Quebec City, it is definitely not a hotel I would stay at again. The lobby seems updated and clean, but as soon as you reach your floor, the age of the hotel really shows. When we walked in to our room the first thing we saw was the faux leather falling off both of the headboards. And not just in a little spot, this was from months/years of people sitting with their heads against the headboards and the leather being worn away. It was flaking on the beds so we had to make sure and not lean on those sides of the beds or let the pillows touch it or else we ended up with flakes of leather everywhere. The furniture in the room is also very outdated and could really use an update. The A/C unit was filthy. The tiniest bathroom I've experienced in a hotel was clean,but was the tiniest bathroom I've had in any hotel. The small shelf in the bathroom was not secure and easily fell off. We had to pay for parking nightly and had in and out privileges however it was not the most secure parking lot. One morning we saw a homeless man squatting between the cars. Overall we were disappointed with this hotel.

This was the best hotel deal we could find with 2 queen beds in the downtown Quebec City area. The staff, especially Pierre-Luc, were attentive and very friendly. As of Wednesday July 14th, 2021 this hotel allowed for up to 26 people in the swimming pool at a time rather than having to sign up for 30 minute time slots to use the pool. Bravo! The hallway floors on the 2nd floor where our room was were not vacuumed and you could see clumps of crumbs and bottle caps on the carpeting. Rooms were spacious and the hotel was in a convenient location where you could walk to the touristy part of Old Quebec in just over 30 minutes with young kids. The exterior of the hotel was being renovated but did not disturb us. Lots of road construction in the area. If you want cheap indoor underground parking we find a place within 60 seconds walk from the hotel at 31 Rue Dorchester, Québec, QC G1K 8P8 for $10/night! We stayed Monday to Thursday and paid $30!!!!

It was my first time visiting Quebec City as well as first time staying at Best Western Hotel, my overall state was satisfactory although the hotel was doing exterior renovations it did not impede any off the guest. Big kudos to the reception stuff who are very friendly and knowledgeable and are there too make sure you're happy. My only recommendation and the reason why I'm choosing 4/5 is that the room did not have microwave specially as I was travelling with little kids and I needed it for heating milk. I did use the reception microwave very graceful for help when you need it.
Overall the hotel is well-maintained has wifi did try the pool on my first day but didn't like it was a bit too small and too shallow for my enjoyment, it is indoors for those planning to visit. The hotel itself is located downtown Quebec which is approximately 10 to 20 minutes walk to the Old City, the area is not the best neither the worst there are a lot of restaurants in the vicinity as well as a quick convenience store around the corner. I did took the option for the breakfast which was well received and no complaints from the family good options and choices for breakfas (table service no buffet), for parking you do have to pay for it which it was included.

Exterior of the hotel is undergoing major renovations which results in construction type noise starting every morning. Our room (business 2 queen beds) was dirty, dust everywhere, the carpet hasn't been vacuumed after previous guests. Terrible bad smell in the room because of dirty soiled carpets and drapery. Old worn-out pillows, dust and dirt under the bed. All the interior of the hotel, lobby, tiny elevators, hallways and especially guest room requires immediate renovation because of smell and dirt. Poor breakfast food quality, very very limited breafast choices, breakfast service was slow, expect to spend almost 2 hours for breakfast if you arrive around 9:00am. The "valet parking" is really just overpriced self-park service. Avoid the hotel provided parking and park your park in the nearby parking garage, you will save lots of money. In my opinion the quality of the services provided by this hotel would equal to 2-star motel considering the ugly lobby, dirty smelly guest room and poor breakfast.

We decided to come back to this hotel, since we had such a great experience two years ago.
We weren't disappointed! We had a great executive room (it was upgraded at no extra charge), spacious, with a huge bed. Although because the Covid regulations there were no daily cleaning services, we were provided fresh towels upon request and we had the room cleaned once (de requested the service as we were going out). The only negative about the room was the fridge... It was more like a freezer - it froze anything (fruits, etc) we put in it.
They are not offering the buffet breakfast, but the menu has several choices and they are all good. We noticed that the wait line tended to be longer between 9-10 am, so we took our breakfast earlier. You have the choice to order it from the room, but you will have to come to the restaurant to pick it up when ready.
The hotel has an indoor pool on the first floor, small but nice. Great murals of Quebec sites make the place very pleasant.
The hotel is pet friendly, we noticed more pets than during our previous trip. They were all very well behaved. We brought our own dachshund with us, he throughly enjoyed the experience!
The staff is very nice and helpful. We booked our room via email, and the person handling our reservation was extremely helpful and accommodating, so we decided to extend our stay.
Overall, a highly recommended choice!

Hi mel_jones27 ! It always depend on witch platform you book your stay. Either by phone or on Best Western website you have the option to add breakfast for free. If reservation is made on another platform or resaler, unfortunately it is not possible to enjoy a free breakfast.
Dear Guest, we do offer cribs for free to our guests. You may simply ask for their availability upon your arrival and it will be a pleasure to have one brought up to your room in no time.
