Holy moly. I am here with my wife. I understand that COVID has everyone tied up tight. But harassment from the staff is far from what I was expecting from the JARO hotel group. They called my room 3 times asking for different names. Mr Smith. Mr Tremblay. Mr Lachance. I actually ended up unplugging my phone. They even requested I go back to my room when I was trying to go get ice at 7:15PM. It feels like we are in prison here. It really ruined my evening. It’s an abuse of power. There are calling every 20 minutes to see if we are really in our room. And yet, we are. I finally disconnected my phone. I’m not saying it’s the worst hotel I have ever seen. But it’s definitely not more than a 2 out of 10. To top it all off, the room is old and dirty. The corners along the wall are dirty. The mirror in the bathroom has spit marks from the last person that brushed their teeth. The remote has gunk around the buttons. There was pubic hair on the toilet bowl. Simply put. It’s not a 3 star hotel. That being said, I have stayed at other hotel rooms in other JARO hotels. But do yourself a big favour, unless you are getting this room for 50-60 dollars, stay far far away from Quebec inn…
Always stayed at this hotel every time we go to Quebec. Seems the last couple years it’s getting worst and worst. This time, when we checked in, there was garbage everywhere in the hallway, also there is a strong smell of urine in the hall. Our key did not open the outside door. The alarm clock is an old iphone charger. The coffee machine is ancient. No microwave, we went to front desk and asked to use a microwave, just once, we were told no very rudely by management. Customer service was non existant. No customer service, no more business from us or family and friends. Thanks but no thanks.
Even if building is older our room was very clean and updated. This place is great since everything is in one hotel restaurant with delicious food, bar, great staff and well organized shuttle service to airport.
Pros: There is a pool with a lifeguard, and a hottub that they dont monitor. A gym, spa , games room and restaurant on site. The front desk young lady was nice enough at check in and was quick to communicate with maintenance with our first issue. Cons: For a family oriented hotel, the artwork on the pull out bed is somewhat questionable (underwater picture of a headless female, whom is clearly cold...) There were stains on one of the towels (which there weren't enough of for the number of guests we had registered for). Holes in the sheets (which are changed every 3 days as per the sign in the bathroom) and the sink was really gross when we got there. There was also an issue with the lights in the room that maintenance was quick to come and fix. The side bedlamps are also very light, and one fell on my head the second night. When I mentioned our concerns at check out they were dismissed with a quick comment about leaving a comment in our file. (Never asked which room or any more details.) This hotel is FULL of children not being supervised by their own parents, which bothered us even though we have children traveling with us. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend the night, this is not the place for you.…
I needed a hotel near the airport for a few hours sleep before an early morning flight. I chose this one because of convenience and the swimming pool. it was a reasonably good choice; the hotel has a nice restaurant (with lush greenery--it was very relaxing after a stressful week) and the taxi ride to the airport the next morning took 6 minutes. My room was clean and comfortable, and had a shared balcony (not with a view though!) There seemed to be many families there with children, so I'm guessing this hotel does a good job of that. Also it's not far from the aquarium. The things I didn't like: No elevator! I have a bad knee, and the desk clerk graciously hauled my giant suitcase up the stairs for me. Also, the pool closes at 9:00. It's an indoor pool, so why not keep it open a little longer, so adults can use it after the crowds of small children go to bed? I did want to swim (the pool is very appealing) but found the pool closed, at exactly 9:00.…
