The cleanliness needs some work with hairs found in the bath and one of the robes was dirty.
A comfortable place to stay and little noise was heard from the festival which was just outside of the hotel.

When we check out the other day I asked for the final bill and was told that they are going to email it to me
When I got home I looked at final bill and they double bill me for every night we stay there and it took another hour on the phone with credit card to resolve this issue
The worst was to come. On our last day, we had an early flight, so we wanted to get to bed early, but early evening music started. We tried to sleep, but it just got louder. I complained at 11 p.m. and was told it would finish soon offed earplugs! At midnight, it was still going, and I went to the front office, and they said it would be going on until 1 a.m. This constant noise disrupted our sleep and made us feel exhausted for our early flight. I told them this was completely unacceptable. The party was on the ground floor, and we were on the 3rd floor, and all we could hear was a heavy bass sound vibrating the room.
The following day, on checkout, I asked for a night's compensation but would only pay $100. I was unhappy and will never stay at this hotel again, and no one should if they want a hotel that cares for its guests. Any excuse about it being near Christmas does not negate that they allowed this to happen.
It is disappointing to note that the hotel seems to prioritize parties over the comfort of its guests, especially those who come to relax in what is supposed to be a 4-star hotel.
Day four we were in our hotel room when housekeeping finally arrived. My husband said that the girl was washing glasses in the bathroom sink. I asked for clean glasses but she kept insisting that I speak Spanish. I called front desk. Their response “Did you see her do it?” My husband went to wine bar and retrieved glasses. We hoped. Next day a different cleaner came after we called to have our glasses/ towels/ toilet paper replenished. We had to ask for TP twice. The new cleaner took our glasses outside room and returned them. They were very hot.

True traditional comfort
By choosing the Château-Laurier hotel, I noticed amenities that corresponded exactly to what we were looking for and that we find less and less often: rooms furnished in a classic way and in a spirit of true comfort.
- real nightstands, not tiny shelves that you can't put anything on.
- a big office.
- sufficient storage space.
- numerous lights that can be operated individually, no sophisticated and often poorly thought-out system.
- quality materials, wood.
- sober coverings, no colorful decorations as we see more and more.
- a window that opened sufficiently for ventilation.
In short, it is obvious that one day, the owners will renovate all of this.
We just hope that they don't give in to fashionable fantasies and that they keep this spirit of classic and traditional comfort.
Pleasant and efficient staff (mention should be made of Marc-Antoine, who offered us another room than the one that had initially been allocated to us).
We appreciated the possibility of having a dish service.
We appreciated being able to enjoy a swimming pool (10 meters long, I think), which was very practical for relaxing.
Two remarks for improvement:
- be careful of bulbs which produce pale light: you must choose a maximum of 2900° Kelvin; beyond that, the light is cold.
- since two pillows are made available to customers, common sense would be to put one thick and the other softer.
