Looks like the covid break has allowed for a fresh lick of paint but breakfast was poor, and finding hairs in the shower was not a great experience. Could do with a little TLC on the housekeeping as opposed to threats of charges if sheets are dyed ..
This would have been nice if it wasn’t that our assigned room has not been cleaned before we arrived. Clerk at the front desk were not so helpful. Room and bed was ok and breakfast also. Located at walking distance from centre Vidéotron. Old place and need some love
Our double room had french doors separating the beds, perfect to be shared by two couples. Each room has a fridge with a microwave just down the hall. Brand new furniture. Reasonable price, and just a short drive away from the attractions: old city, Chutes Montmorency and Ile d'Orleans. Great breakfasts are to be had at the Normandin, just down the road.
The location of the Hotel was great for us.Specious room with 2 queen size bed, clean linen were very good for the money. Free parking and always available space is a big relief. The team under the Command of Helene Lacroix is super like my family outside the family. This is the best place I ever been. Thank you guys.
My family of 4 stayed in this hotel for 3 days. Yes, it's an old and dated hotel, but the room was OK, sheets were clean, free parking, free breakfast with plenty of choices (buffet with items served on demand by the hotel staff), warm pool to dip into after a long day in the City - all in all, it met our expectations. 15 min direct bus ride to downtown Quebec, direct bus to Montmorency Falls, easy access to major roads for out-of-town travellers. Very few TV channels in English, most are in French, but we did not come to Quebec City to watch TV. The only real complaint is that WiFi was unreliable - fast at one point, complete out the next. But overall, it is a pretty solid offering for price-conscious travellers.
The place is old, humid (pool downstairs). Our room was not clean and the toilet was not functioning. They gave us another room which was much better in terms of cleanliness. Overpriced for what they offer.
Close to old Quebec City, highway, and good restaurants and some best croissants. Quite big room with a slide door to separate two queen beds. Pets stay free. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast is a bonus.
The staff were very pleasant. Location not that far from historic area, will need transportation though. This place could use some updating. TV selection limited especially if you only speak English. 2 pubs/bars on site, small, 1 in each building. Probably contributed to a woman yelling in the hallway during the night , waking me from sleeping. The breakfast is very limited and simple. I strongly suggest the $5.00 upgrade for something that will last you until lunchtime. The location seems to be more located in a residential area but we felt comfortable there. A/C unit was a little noisy.
Needs a lot of updates, very outdated. The pool was questionable, location was not in the best area, to far of a drive to the Old City plus once you get there you have to find parking and pay. We arrived and our room smelled. Cancelled and went closer to the Old City.
Good quiet place to rest. If you have an appointment and want to eat breakfast before their opening time schedule, they will be happy to help you. We had ours at 6:00 am while the regular opening time was 7:00 am.
