This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside. The style is more motel-like. Certainly, it is a little aging but for the price, you will not be too far from the city center, you will have shops and restaurants nearby, parking, breakfast, an indoor heated swimming pool and a spacious room. In Quebec City, undoubtedly the best value for money.

The room was OK, with a partition to separate the 2 beds. On the other hand, the bathroom was old and somewhat questionably clean. Breakfast is very mediocre, served in the basement: dry mini industrial pastries, white bread and cold hard-boiled eggs...

After reading many negative reviews here, I was positively surprised. Apart from that the hotel looks old and dark and the air condition was noisy, everything worked well. The receptionist was friendly, the swimming pool was great, the continental breakfast was good and especially the staff in the breakfast room were very service minded and worked hard. There is a bus stop close by, which was useful, as it was totally impossible to get a parking spot in the city.

I was never going to expect luxury for the price paid as this hotel isn't central.. However if you don't mind using public transport (bus 800 every 15 minutes taking 10-15 minutes) it's ideal to avoid parking restrictions in the city. However staff attitude was a huge let down. As I arrived in Québec very early on a night train nowhere to store baggage, I called them. OK if their policy doesn't include that, but despite clearly making it known I would come back later to check-in, all they said was after 4, after 4! Not sorry, we can't store your bag. When I did check-in, staff were not pleasant. Room itself was OK. Air con was however noisy and bath leaked water onto the floor when I showered. WiFi wasn't brilliant. There was a self service continental breakfast from 06:30. Spoilt very much by a member of staff who seemed to patrol the area and would jump in as soon as you say approached putting in a slice of bread into the toaster to show you what to do. There was cooked food, but menu was handwritten and posted up and almost completely illegible. Unbelievably they left a plate out for cash tips!

I booked a room for 5 nights.
When I arrived, I went up to the room which was very dirty, yellow pillows, dust everywhere in the room and it smelled of dirty socks. I couldn't even sit up on the bed because it smelled so bad.
I didn't even stay 5 minutes and I went to see the receptionist to ask for a refund. He asks me to speak with booking.com, I then call them and ask for a refund, they agree to refund me provided the hotel agrees.
Today I received a notification from my bank, the hotel charged me for one night, even though I didn't spend even 5 minutes at the hotel.
I then call to ask to speak to the hotel manager, the same receptionist answers and tells me that the manager is never at the hotel and that I can't speak to anyone and that he was the only one responsible of all . I then ask him to resolve the problem and explain to him that I made my reservation the same day, so less than 24 hours, and that I have an infant, so a minimum of cleanliness is required. The receptionist who was unfriendly started yelling at me. I ask that I be contacted by the manager of this place, this is unacceptable.
Otherwise, for travelers who wish to stay in this hotel. I do not recommend it . It's dirty and the staff is not at all pleasant, you have the impression that they don't want to be there.

Inn in a sad state, room bordering on unhygienic, unpleasant staff especially at reception. Dismal Breakfast in the basement with employees in neglected outfits, little respect for the customer with full pastries and pastries. This Pension does not deserve to be referenced on booking sites. Run away!

Very clean and large enough room, not too dated. The indoor swimming pool is definitely a plus. There are 2 microwaves in the hotel and breakfast is included. The young woman at reception is very friendly, which is not the case with the gentleman…. The hotel is not far from the center of Quebec by car. Bus stop right opposite. Parking for parking.

Freezing welcome without any friendliness. Requirement for a deposit of $100 per room (Not mentioned at Reservation). Defraichi hotel that deserves renovation.
Pros: large room with suitable bedding, free parking and wifi

Very nice staff apart from the gentleman at reception who doesn't smile much, I think he will recognize himself.. When we ask him something he huffs, and today, we asked him to make change to take the bus and he kindly sent us back to the bar. The bartender then sent us back to reception and we were yelled at because I quote "I don't have the keys, he should have them! So go to the bar"... A great, good experience Morning. I therefore seriously advise against giving money to (a) contemptuous person with such mediocre kindness!

We were perfectly satisified. In fact, two of the front desk people went and got us a card and gift when they found out it was our 50th anniversary. Good breakfast each day. Clean room on first floor at our request.
