There was no lights when I got to the hotel. I was unlucky, but the staff didn't help neither. They were rude and didn't provide anything that could help getting into a dark room in the middle of the night. Internet was terrible and the location was not good as well.

I found our rooms dark and dingy and in desperate need of updating. However, we needed a place for 6 of us on a recent trip for a funeral so this fit the bill. Definitely was not impressed with the free breakfast and probably would not go back again.

We recently booked a room at Citadelle, but then had to cancel it. The whole process turned out to be unnecessarily difficult. What we learned through our (and our booking agent's) interactions with the hotel's personnel during those 3 days (!) was that none of them actually spoke any English and only when we called back after finding a person... If your looking for an affordable and nice place in quebec this is the place for you. We were 3 couples..and stayed in one of the family room in the basement this January 2016 for only 155$ CAN tax included, breakfast included PLUS parking for 8 days. You can't get that anywhere for that price. its clean..the room even had... More

Best I can say is the staff were friendly. The room was overpriced for what it was and was in dire need of updating. Bulky tv, old covers. The room was also not very clean. There were dustballs and the shower did not look like it had been cleaned. The breakfast was gross. My bagel was stale. There was no... More

I was looking for a pet-friendly hotel to stop at for a night on my drive from Halifax to Ottawa, and found Hotel Citadelle on Trivago. It sounded good based on other ratings, and I was not disappointed. The hotel is a small, family run business with a very friendly front desk staff. They welcomed me and my large dog,... More

This family run motel was in the moderate price range, so we did not expect a lot. On the contrary, this was super clean and up to date and actually furnished more like the pricier motels. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered varied and adequate choices. It is located two blocks off the freeway, so it made... More

We just needed for some place to stay for 3 nights while on the trip to Quebec Carnival. We had a family room in basement (2 rooms with shared bathroom). It was quite nice, we didn't expect for much. Sounproofing is not very good, so it gets really noisy in the morning. They didn't have a crib for a kid... More

Don't bother booking this property. The lobby and room was dark and musty. The bed linens were not clean. My wife used a lint roller on the "clean" sheets and collected hair and other small debris. We would not stay there again. . . The only redeeming value is convenient freeway access.

The room was actually quite spacious cause we were on a corner. It was clean and had all the facilities you'd expect. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was ok for the additional $5. You de need a car for sure if you want to get to the city.
