I was living in Vancouver and went all the way to Québec because I was offered a job as a full-time receptionist at the hostel (together with accommodation). The first day I arrived, the reception manager said the position was not available anymore because the former reception manager had recently showed up and they gave the position to him (after I had travelled all the way across Canada and I had turned down other receptionist offers). I thought it was extremely rude to put me in such a bad situation. If they are like this with employees, I don’t think they are very moral towards guests either.

We received great service during our stay in Quebec City. Two roomy rooms for our two families. The kids loved the recreation areas: darts, foosball, billiards, TV room. The adults appreciated the friendly service, from the booking process to our actual stay. We could put our food in the refrigerator, re-freeze our ice packs which is very handy when you’re on a family road trip. Quebec City did not disappoint and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The Auberge is right in the old city so you can walk everywhere.

Great place, great price and amazing staff. Special thanks to staff members Christobal, Nari and Line for an amazing service, and the suggestions on places to eat! The place is being maintained nicely, the room, all common areas are well maintained, clean. The place has a kitchen/bar, tv room and a common pantry. It is located in the old town and all major attractions, places are at a walking distance. Highly recommended!

I booked a single room in this hostel. Room was really good and warm. Staff friendly and communal areas good. Shared bathrooms clean as were the rooms. Close to local amenities 5 minutes walk to nearest restaurants and bars.

I have never stayed in a hostel before but thought I would give it a try and I'm glad I did. A really friendly place with a big mix of people. Dorms were clean and I was provided with a decent sized lockable space. Free coffee in the morning was welcome and kitchen facilities were good. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again.

Great location, right at the center of the historic part of the city. Most interesting spots are within walking distance and 3 different buses routes to get to other parts of downtown. Shared showers were comfortable, had hot water and was really clean! Wi-fi worked pretty well in my room. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. My only issue with it was that there's no elevator. After spending the day walking up and down hills, it wasn't comforting to have to climb a lot of stairs. My room was 3rd floor and the kitchen was in the basement, for example.

I have visited the Auberge twice and both stays were excellent. Located within the city walls, the Auberge Internationale de Quebec is an exceptionally clean facility that provides a warm, welcoming, and convenient base for exploring Old Quebec. Admittedly, a stay at the Auberge is not a luxury experience. Rather guests are rewarded with charm and authenticity that will never be found in a chain hotel. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

This weekend on a visit to Quebec City, I stayed at the “Auberge Internationale De Quebec”. A perfect location for walking around beautiful old Quebec City. The fluently bilingual staff were both very courteous and helpful. It would seem that they offer “Hostel Style’ accommodation for every budget; and I was able to secure a room with a dedicated bathroom and shower at an extremely reasonable cost. Plenty of free coffee and common spaces allowed the opportunity to meet with other travellers and only added to the great ambience and overall experience. I would not hesitate to recommend to Auberge to anyone visiting Quebec City.

Our two-night stay at the Auberge was a great experience. The location, right in Old Quebec, was within walking distance to all the key areas and can’t be beat for the price. The check-in was smooth, the room clean and comfortable. I also wanted to note that the water pressure on our bathroom was perfect.
