Our two-night stay at the Auberge was a great experience. The location, right in Old Quebec, was within walking distance to all the key areas and can’t be beat for the price. The check-in was smooth, the room clean and comfortable. I also wanted to note that the water pressure on our bathroom was perfect.

This is my second time at this fantastic hostel. Needless to say, the location was fantastic, being located right in the heart of one of Canada's most beautiful cities.

This time, I spent a week here right while the COVID-19 pandemic was happening, and was amazed at the professionalism of the staff and how much effort they put in to ensure that their guests had a great and safe stay. Everything was immaculately clean. All of the social distancing rules were followed, and there was hand sanitizer every where.

I was also working remotely during this time, and just wanted to mention that their WI-FI was great, and allowed me to do Zoom/Team calls without a hitch.

Thanks so much again to the team for being such fantastic hosts! A bientot :)

Thanks so much for your review! Excuse me for taking so long to reply to it though. I hope that you will have the chance to come back soon and see what else we are doing. We have now installed a new touch card door lock system, which is a lot more effective than the magnetic stripe system we had before.

We arrived Thursday near 1630h after a 6-hour motorcycle ride...The inside was spotless, check-in was simple and quick. All staff was helpful and polite. The Auberge was perfectly located in Vieux Quebec, minutes (walking) to one of the liveliest streets, and never more than a 40 min. walk to ANY of the sites of Old Quebec....NO need for any form of mechanical transportation!

Thanks for your review Norm. I hope to see you soon during the winter when you can experience the wonders of Quebec City under snow. One of the most magical experiences out there! The Auberge will be warm and cozy, waiting for you to return!

We had a large private room with ensuite bathroom and kingsize bed on the 2nd floor of the hostel for 3 nights. The room was very comfortable, with 2 windows, hardwood floors and was very clean and quiet. Bed was very comfy and we were happy to come back to the hostel and relax after walking miles around the charming city! The hostel kitchen seemed well equipped for travellers to use although we only used the fridge, and didn't cook a meal there. Free brewed coffee is available in the lobby all the time.

Hugo at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, recommending local microbreweries for us to try as well as interesting pockets of the city to see. His suggestions were spot-on! We really enjoyed exploring both our neighbourhood and a lot of the city, especially Saint Roch and Saint Saveur. We spent a lot of time on the Plains of Abraham as well, walking through the park, seeing the artwork outside the Musee des Beaux-Arts. Great city to visit, and the hostel was excellent for us as our base.

Masks were required and we had to provide proof of vaccination at check in. Hand sanitizer was readily available.

This weekend on a visit to Quebec City, I stayed at the “Auberge Internationale De Quebec”.
A perfect location for walking around beautiful old Quebec City.
The fluently bilingual staff were both very courteous and helpful.
It would seem that they offer “Hostel Style’ accommodation for every budget; and I was able to secure a room with a dedicated bathroom and shower at an extremely reasonable cost.
Plenty of free coffee and common spaces allowed the opportunity to meet with other travellers and only added to the great ambience and overall experience.
I would not hesitate to recommend to Auberge to anyone visiting Quebec City.

This hostel is perfectly situated within 2 blocks walking distance from Rue Saint Jean which is a popular walking street in Vieux Quebec City. The hostel itself has a range of rooms available including private and dorm rooms. It provides complimentary coffee on the main floor. The kitchen is located downstairs. The staff are willing to order a taxi and provide tourist information in addition to giving you a tour of the hostel. Bathrooms are conveniently located on each floor. Parking is available for low height vehicles within 2 block walking distance. No elevators are available. A small grocery store with fresh baking and coffee is within one block walking distance. Staff are available 24/7. Go see the National art gallery- Des Beaux Arts n addition to other tourist/ You won't regret choosing this hostel.......a very comfortable and convenient stay- with Quebec city and bus stops within easy reach.
Oh don't forget to go in the fall- rent a car to go see Riviere Du Loup, take the ferry to Saint Simeon, drive to Saguenay National Park and go see Eglise Anne de Beupre in the beauty of the fall colours in early October.

I have visited the Auberge twice and both stays were excellent.

Located within the city walls, the Auberge Internationale de Quebec is an exceptionally clean facility that provides a warm, welcoming, and convenient base for exploring Old Quebec.

Admittedly, a stay at the Auberge is not a luxury experience. Rather guests are rewarded with charm and authenticity that will never be found in a chain hotel.

I would not hesitate to stay there again.

A gigantic hostel sitting right in the middle of Old Town granting you easy access by foot to most of the tourist spots. I doubt it ever becomes deserted, considering that I was there during winter and people were crawling. They have a lot of common areas that you can fully use before checking in and after checking out and their kitchen is fully equipped, next to a very large dining hall which also has a bar. Watch out for the happy hour and secure your pitcher of IPA before it's over!

There were a lot of toilets so this wasn't really a problem but the toilet nearest to my room got busted and, while everywhere else was cleaned everyday, it took more than a day for the cleaning staff to purge what was left behind by the person who last used that toilet.

Stayed here in February/March.

Location: it's easy to find from the coach/train station. Well situated to explore the main attractions of the city.

Rooms: I stayed in a few dorms here: each was well maintained; very clean.

Facilities: laundry, showers, WCs, and communal areas were well looked after and cleaned daily.

Staff: honestly from my experience they're the most friendliest, accommodating, conscientious and inclusive team from the senior management to the temporary staff.

Activities: lots to see and do around the area. I was there for the Winter Carnival! The hostel arranged activities such as tours, karaoke and an icebar. They were inclusive of everyone.

We received great service during our stay in Quebec City. Two roomy rooms for our two families. The kids loved the recreation areas: darts, foosball, billiards, TV room. The adults appreciated the friendly service, from the booking process to our actual stay. We could put our food in the refrigerator, re-freeze our ice packs which is very handy when you’re on a family road trip. Quebec City did not disappoint and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The Auberge is right in the old city so you can walk everywhere.
