I have never stayed in a hostel before but thought I would give it a try and I'm glad I did. A really friendly place with a big mix of people. Dorms were clean and I was provided with a decent sized lockable space. Free coffee in the morning was welcome and kitchen facilities were good. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again.
Great location, right at the center of the historic part of the city. Most interesting spots are within walking distance and 3 different buses routes to get to other parts of downtown. Shared showers were comfortable, had hot water and was really clean! Wi-fi worked pretty well in my room. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. My only issue with it was that there's no elevator. After spending the day walking up and down hills, it wasn't comforting to have to climb a lot of stairs. My room was 3rd floor and the kitchen was in the basement, for example.
I have visited the Auberge twice and both stays were excellent. Located within the city walls, the Auberge Internationale de Quebec is an exceptionally clean facility that provides a warm, welcoming, and convenient base for exploring Old Quebec. Admittedly, a stay at the Auberge is not a luxury experience. Rather guests are rewarded with charm and authenticity that will never be found in a chain hotel. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
This weekend on a visit to Quebec City, I stayed at the “Auberge Internationale De Quebec”. A perfect location for walking around beautiful old Quebec City. The fluently bilingual staff were both very courteous and helpful. It would seem that they offer “Hostel Style’ accommodation for every budget; and I was able to secure a room with a dedicated bathroom and shower at an extremely reasonable cost. Plenty of free coffee and common spaces allowed the opportunity to meet with other travellers and only added to the great ambience and overall experience. I would not hesitate to recommend to Auberge to anyone visiting Quebec City.
Our two-night stay at the Auberge was a great experience. The location, right in Old Quebec, was within walking distance to all the key areas and can’t be beat for the price. The check-in was smooth, the room clean and comfortable. I also wanted to note that the water pressure on our bathroom was perfect.
Excellent service. Clean comfortable private rooms. Nice mattress and pillows. Excellent meeting room. Beautiful historic auberge in superb central location in Old Quebec. Really friendly, courteous staff. Thanks, especially to Simon for his kind hospitality. Would highly recommend for anyone!
We arrived hours before the check-in time but they had provided us a keycard lock to store our luggages. Prior to our arrival date, they made us aware about it already. We had a good communication with the staff with our booking and answering related questions. So far, the staff we had met are hospitable. Be warn that there is no elevator so muscle up to bring all of your belongings up. The hostel was clean, spacious and quiet. We had a comfortable bed in a private room with our own bathroom. Overall, we feel safe during our entire stay. They informed us of free activities if you want to join in. They had a tea and coffee station on the first floor. They have laundry services and a kitchen in the basement. The hostel is perfectly located, within walking distances, to our sightseeing. Upon check-out, the staff was helpful to book us a cab which arrived in 5 minutes or less to pick us up.…

We arrived Thursday near 1630h after a 6-hour motorcycle ride...The inside was spotless, check-in was simple and quick. All staff was helpful and polite. The Auberge was perfectly located in Vieux Quebec, minutes (walking) to one of the liveliest streets, and never more than a 40 min. walk to ANY of the sites of Old Quebec....NO need for any form of mechanical transportation!
We had a large private room with ensuite bathroom and kingsize bed on the 2nd floor of the hostel for 3 nights. The room was very comfortable, with 2 windows, hardwood floors and was very clean and quiet. Bed was very comfy and we were happy to come back to the hostel and relax after walking miles around the charming city! The hostel kitchen seemed well equipped for travellers to use although we only used the fridge, and didn't cook a meal there. Free brewed coffee is available in the lobby all the time. Hugo at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, recommending local microbreweries for us to try as well as interesting pockets of the city to see. His suggestions were spot-on! We really enjoyed exploring both our neighbourhood and a lot of the city, especially Saint Roch and Saint Saveur. We spent a lot of time on the Plains of Abraham as well, walking through the park, seeing the artwork outside the Musee des Beaux-Arts. Great city to visit, and the hostel was excellent for us as our base. Masks were required and we had to provide proof of vaccination at check in. Hand sanitizer was readily available.…
