The place is extremely well located inside the walls of the old city, just in the middle of two streets taking you to the Chateau Frontenac area, you have all kinds of services and touristic sites around. I had a private room which was big and simple but well decorated, the bathroom was also good sized and the the furniture were a mixed of con temporal and old style. I was surprised beyond my original expectations.

Review from my third stay - first in a shared room (mixed) - then two stays in a private (I'm a loner). Obviously with shared accomodations, you got to put with other's bed- or waking-up -times. But that's when some great talks get going. I love the communal spaces. If you can look away from your phone, there's always someone interesting to talk to at the bar. Ir's downstairs. HIghly recommend! You are in the heart of Quebec.Much to discover outside from the usual tourist traps, ask around the locals...

Thanks so much for your review. You seem to have captured the essence of what it is to stay here: the location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the old city; people are here to meet other people and share their stories and adventures. As you mentioned, we have a varitey of accomodation to offer from the large dormitories to the private rooms with their own bathrooms. This is a great place to go as a family or go solo. Plus, there is always something going on, as we offer free activities daily. Hope to see you again soon!

Fantastic hostel right in the heart of old Quebec, an easy walk from various attractions and the train station. Everything was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was much more than we expected. Would definitely stay here again!

I only stayed here for one night and I wish I could have extended my stay! I booked a private room with en-suite and it was amazing. The room took a while to find but once I did I was very happy with the room. It was massive and had a huge comfy bed. There was a fan to cool the room down and lots of room to do washing. Everything was nice and clean. Lots of nice detail in the room. The staff were very helpful and informative. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Quebec!

Hello and thank you for your review. I am so glad that you enjoyed your brief stay at the Auberge. When you come back make sure it is for longer! The Auberge is perfectly located in the historic part of the city and within walking distance of many of the attractions. After your day walking up and down the hills of the city we also have a lovely bar with local craft beer where you can put your feet up .

I stayed here for a total of seven nights before and after my photography tour with SalvaFauna. The first two nights was in single room with shared bathroom and the other five nights was in a family room with attached bathroom. The beds are comfortable but the location is really fantastic. The reception is very knowledgeable and pointed me to many nice restaurants and showed me how to get around. It near to many sites like place d'Armes, funicular, the many churches etc. The Fortifications is just a a three minute walk where you get a good different view of the city. The breakfast is standard fare. You can cook yourself if you want. It is a hostel and you get to meet travellers from all over the world. The WiFi in the family room is poor. The other areas are okay. Ask the
