A wonderful retreat after a very cold day. The staff is warm, friendly and welcoming. From the baked snacks and fresh fruit they provide all day to the beautiful rooms full of everything you need or want Hotel Des Coutellier is a perfect gem. Great restaurants right next door, easy walk to old city- really couldn't ask for more.

Thank you for your wonderful review! Whether it is the coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon or the friendly staff, we do our best to make people feel at home! And like you say, we do are near the old part of Quebec City and good restaurant, but also near the farmer market, the train station and the...

Stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary in January/2015. Hotel is beautiful, staff was very friendly and accomodating, room was clean and had everything we needed. The stay included continental breakfast delivered to our room each morning which was a huge bonus. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

We had two great nights here. The hotel has generous rooms and supplies continental breakfasts straight to your room. They also helped enormously with booking tours and restaurant reservations. Chrystelle, in particular, booked great food, recommended fun areas for walking and also told out upstairs neighbours to be quiet when we were starting to get annoyed. The only negatives I...

I decided to use Expedia but of course checked Trip Advisor first for this hotel. I picked it based upon the reviews, location, and cost. I wanted to stay in a boutique style hotel and experience the local flare rather than a chain hotel company that just happened to be located in Canada. For my first trip it was excellent...

This is a great hotel! A wonderful experience. The staff is very good. A lot of special touches; breakfast delights outside your door every morning, K cups in your room, robe, fruit in lobby, etc. Location is good. It’s not a long walk to the Funicular, or you can take the street behind the hotel for a short walk up...

I picked Hotel des Coutellier based off the reviews and price. I travel for work all across the U.S. and stay in nice hotels, and this was the best I have experienced! For those travelers just skimming reviews, here are the highlights: - Even though the hotel is just right outside the wall of Old Quebec, it is the perfect...

My wife and I stayed here over Christmas 2014 with our 2 teenage boys, and we will definitely stay here again! Clean and nicely decorated rooms, great staff, lots of character, and convenient walking distance to Old Quebec. We drove a rental car and parked across the street in open lot (not free, but reasonable daily rate discounted by hotel)....

This was our second time, the first being April 2014. Every detail is perfect. We chose forfait "sous la couette", 139$ per night, breaksfast and a bottle of mousseux included. (Not available high season, I think). Staff is extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast is cute, they hang a lunch box on your door at seven am, so it'sbreaskfast in bed....

We stayed in the prestige suite for two nights this December and the hotel exceeded our expectations. Beautiful exposed-brick walls, spacious and modern bathroom, generous amenities in the room... I especially loved the fresh croissants in the breakfast basket hung by our door every morning. The employees at the front desk were very polite and helpful. They helped us make...

We loved the breakfast of croissants, muffins, juice & either yogurt or fruit. It was hung in an insulated bag on a hook outside our door each morning.
