Staircase to get to rooms was funky at best - need to go through a store and up several narrow and dark staircases with luggage. Did not feel secure or safe. Door locking system was tricky need to lock from inside the room. Room was clean though and had a refridgerator in bathroom. The hotel was inexpensive and might be... More

This is a quaint hotel in the old town. The rooms are big and the beds are comfy. The door is difficult to lock (locking on the inside while closing the door). Walking distance to everything. The only thing we missed was breakfast. Recommended.

Lovely little hotel in perfect location. It was very clean and comfortable. The girl (I didn't get her name unfortunately) at check-in was adorable - very friendly and helpful. The hotel, like all the other buildings in Old Town are just that - old but lovely. The room was a nice size (we had 2 double beds) and the bathroom... More

The best place to stay in the old Quebec. We were very excited with the old furniture environment that makes you feel in France.. Big rooms, large bathroom, very clean and very gentile people at the front desk. Fridge, coffe etc.. I will go back to this hotel. I fell in love to this place and my very lovely Quebec

Spent 3 nights here in early Oct. Quirky old building adjacent to a souvenir store. Our room was huge. Bathroom also big and shower had been refurbished as well. Big mini fridge. Microwave was only thing missing. Quebec City is a walking town, so you will just be coming to room to sleep and rest up for more walking. We... More

We stayed 2 nights at Cavalier du moulin. We were very please with the service and location. The room was spacious and definitely transported us to the early 1800. The shower was slightly out dated, but we didn't have any issues with it! We had a great view on the street below through the great big windows! We definitely recommend... More

This hotel is right in the middle of the town close to everything on Rue St Louis that goes from the main square to up past the old wall to Parliament House and Battlefields Park. All day horse drawn caleches moved up and down the road making it a very picturesque scene. The room was an old type of room,... More

The Cavalier in Quebec City was exactly as we expected. We read the information on their website and we read the reviews. Most important benefit - Location! The hotel is in the middle of everything in the old city, about midway between the Citadel and the boardwalk - five minute walk in either direction. We knew about the unusual check-in... More

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are dated which creates alot of old world charm. Huge wood-framed windows that open up "the old fashion way". High ceilings, crown molding, marble fireplace (not operating). Our room had a very large bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Narrow staircase to climb - no elevators. Parking just down the block in an underground garage. Can walk... More

We stayed in room 3 and we absolutely loved it. We didn't even have one of the really exciting rooms but it was still awesome. The small hotel had so much character while still maintaining a clean, comfortable, and professional hotel experience. It was really nice that there was an underground parking lot that they were partnered with close by,... More
