We just spent 4 days at the Villa Montcalm. The pros: Beautiful area and house The cons: False advertising. It is not 10 minutes from Old Quebec, more like 30 minutes at a good pace. The hostess is not overly friendly, but she does have a young woman Marie-Eve that is quite pleasant and informative. The room was not cleaned,...

My husband and I were cordially greeted at the door by innkeeper Lyse. The 20-year home owner spoke fluent English and gave us a brief tour of the house and shared a map of the city with us before leading us up to our room on the second floor. I travelled across Eastern Canada in summer 2005, and stayed here for 2 nights. Out of all the B&Bs where I stayed, this was my worst experience. I would never stay here again. Admittedly, the B&B is on a quiet street, in a nice neighborhood. The hostess, however, was very challenging, and the cause of all our discomfort while there....
