If you want to unplug and rest like a baby, this place is for you. The silence is astounding. The staff is very professional, and the menu in the restaurant offers a good variety, an excellent quality and an affordable price. Only remark: King beds are in fact two beds, there is a steep mountain range in the middle which was not the best experience.

I love old Quebec City for it's beauty and history and staying this time at the Augustinian Monastery made it even more historic and beautiful. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to recharge in a lovely, clean, unique hotel then this is for you! The complimentary silent breakfast was excellent quality healthy food - great to start the day! The teas that they serve and sell there are excellent! Stayed in a contemporary room with a queen bed and a great tub - loved it. Cozy but not too small. The authentic rooms looked really interesting - maybe better for a solo stay. Took staff here for a weekend training trip. They all really enjoyed themselves here but were glad to have a contemporary room so they had their own bathroom. The rooms with two twin beds were not quite as roomy but still very nice. All quests are encouraged to not use their cell phones in the public areas and to be quiet in your room - therefore we found the rooms client but not great place to go for a party atmosphere.

There is nothing like an end-of-the year 'pilgrimage' to Old Quebec, I found out this holiday break. In particular, if you want to be far away from the daily stress, routines, and cliches of the city life, look no further: Le Monastère des Augustines is the place to find peace, joy, and genuine human warmth. I stayed only a few days, but vowed to return many times. The monastery is indeed a a rare place to reside that offers a special aesthetic, spiritual, and culinary experience to remember. Outstandingly welcoming, visually beautiful, impeccably clean, rich in services, amenities, and with an exquisite cuisine, the monastery surpasses every expectation. I will never forget the hearty breakfasts enjoyed in the silence of snowy mornings, freshly baked cookies and the exceptional organic tisane (herbal infusions) generously prepared daily for everyone, the calm and peace that you felt in your heart every day there. Above all, I really appreciate the staff's kindness, warmth, and professionalism. Thank you very much from my heart and à bientôt!

We stayed in one of the monastic rooms which were full of character, comfortable and warm, like the Monastery as a whole. Location is central and an easy walk to sights and restaurants. But the atmosphere and ethos of the hotel is the winner - relaxing and invigorating. Very much recommended.
