We often send guests to this great little B&B located in close proximity to Bishop's University Campus. The hosts are very kind and the space is fantastic. Near restaurants, the walking and bike paths.
My colleague and I stayed at Les Matins d'Antoine in readiness for a seminar the next morning. The hosts were warm and gracious with their welcome. The amenities were numerous, bathrobes, choice of shampoos, soaps, hairdryer, extra razor, WiFi, a kitchenette with washer and dryer. As our seminar was for 8:30 the next morning the hosts served us a breakfast at 7:00 AM that would rival any 4 star hotel. We started with fresh orange juice, a choice of tea or coffee, a fresh fruit plate (kiwi, peeled clementines, pineapple, honeydew and strawberries), followed by French toast with chocolate coolie and sliced strawberries (delicious). I highly recommend staying at this quaint B&B with charming and helpful hosts.
We spent a night recently in Lennoxville to visit family and we were beautifully accommodated at this friendly B and B. We had a wonderful breakfast and enjoyed the company at the table. We will hope to spend more time at this establishment in the future and happily recommend it to travellers. The owners are bilingual and it was fun to try out our limited French.
This Bed and Breakfast is the most welcoming and warm B&B. Very kind and helpful host and hostess! The room was beautiful and tidy. We especially loved the decorations of the lovely house and room! The place was located in walking distance of Downtown Sherbrooke where we experienced our first meal in Canada! Poutine was awesome! Lovely flowers, porch, and seating area outside where we had plenty of space to do some volleyball! The breakfast was delicious and CHOCOLATEY! Which is something we love! French toast, chocolate muffins, and fresh fruit. Great stay overall! Mona & Cassidy :)
My Girlfriend and I's first stay at a B&B. Didn't know what to expect after always staying at Hotel's prior. Went well beyond what I expected. From the warm welcome when we first arrived. We were made to feel welcome as if it was our home away from home. The bedroom's each with it's own individual design and colour with nice hard wood flooring and comfortable mattresses and linens made for a great night sleep after a day of trekking throughout the city of Sherbrooke. Which Ronaldo has a wealth of information on the Area, not to mention the best routes to take on going to places near or far from the vicinity of the B&B. Last but not least the Breakfast itself. Which had an amazing array of fruits to begin the meal. Then as the main course a favourite of mine French Toast. However the breakfast is always different from one morning to the next from what I've heard so. Expect a surprise everytime ! Not to mention Bilingual Service for people not from the Area. :-) Merci Ronald et Chantal. A La Prochaine !…
We stayed at Les Matins d'Antoine for three nights. When we arrived we were pretty exhausted from our drive, especially since we had climbed Mt Washington on the same day. Ron made us feel very welcome immediately and we were very happy to have arrived at such a lovely, clean and tidy place after such an exhausting day. In the mornings, Ron served a super-delicious two-course breakfast (which varied from day to day, btw!). We had a few very interesting chats with him and he is very knowledgeable about the area, what to do during the day, where to go for dinner, where to park if you want to take the underground in Montreal, etc. (We did go to Montreal once. It's a 1.5h drive, so not too bad.) The B&B also has a Jacuzzi in the garden - big plus! Also, a big advantage to us was the pantry on the first floor so we could bring food from the supermarket and eat there (we were a little tired of eating out every day). We loved it there and would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling around Sherbrooke.…
I only stayed there for one night. Each room has its own name. The room I had was big. The rooms all share two restrooms but I was the only guest and was not bothered by this. Breakfast was tasty and filling. The hosts were really nice and amenable
The hosts were friendly and helpful, and tried really hard to make a nice stay. Our stay was kind of like a stay at Grandmas. The rooms were small and cozy, in 1980s decor, but comfy. There was a kitchenette and laundry available, which was nice. For a full house, the two bathrooms were probably not quite adequate. One felt that they had to be really quiet, as the walls were paper thin. There was some traffic noise. The breakfasts were tasty, and the hosts accomodated our early departure.
Ron and Chantelle are very gracious hosts who want to accomodate your every need and request! Home is nicely laid out, with private entrance for B&B customers, hot tub, etc! Breakfasts vary daily and even include lattes!
We actually just stopped over here for one night while traveling from Tadoussac, Quebec to New Hampshire. It was a good stopping point and they had a room available last minute for a reasonable price. Cute little town to walk around for a bit and get some dinner. We didn't really explore any attractions but if you have a need to stay in Sherbrooke we'd definitely recommend this place. Ronald (owner) was very friendly and cordial. The rooms were a decent size and each was decorated differently. There was a small kitchen area w/ a fridge, microwave, etc, as well as a porch and hot tub available for guest use. Bathrooms were shared but very clean and we didn't have any issues with waiting. Breakfast was tasty and filling and Ronald was nice enough to sit and chat with us for a while. Overall, a nice place to relax for a night while on our road trip. **TRIP NOTE** My wife and I flew into NY, spent a couple of days there with family then took a two week road trip with stops in Burlington, VT, Montreal, Quebec City, Tadoussac (whale watching), Sherbrook, and Bethlehem, NH before returning to NY. We're posting reviews of most of the places we stayed & ate and places we visited. Some reviews may be short if the details are a little hazy (we're writing this after the fact) but at least to give you an idea of our experiences. Reviews are based on price and expectations so a $100 / night room is not going to be compared to a $200+ / night room nor is a $30 dinner going to be compared to an $80 dinner.
