Hotel Wellington in Sherbrooke a nice surprise By Manfried Helmuth Nancy and I recently spent a day at the Sherbrooke Record and needed a place to stay for the night. We used Google and found an advertisement of this vintage hotel on Wellington street. The prices seemed reasonable and the distance to the newspaper plant just right for us city...

I went there for a night's stay and won't go there ever. The hotel manager was the ruddest I've ever encountered. At our arrival, we got assigned a room and went up to drop our baggages. The room wasn't ready (the bed wasn't made). There was "clean" sheets folded on the table so we started making the bed. Finally the...

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I talked to the manager, and he said that you had collected some water dripping down along the wall (because the guest upstairs had forgotten to use the shower curtain), and came down shortly before checking out, not to report a water problem, but to ask for a refund of your whole stay....

Absolutely horrible. This is an aging relic that should have been torn down 10 years ago. It was THE place in Sherbrooke when Maurice Duplessis was Premier in the 50s, and not much has changed since then. Rude and disinterested personnel compound the problem. The rooms may have been partially renovated, but I was turned off by the dust in...

It's near the rail, if you travel that way, I don't, but even if I did I'd keep walking right past this place. There are transients surrounding the environs and the area was grimy. The room was bare. The phone couldn't call long distance. The bathroom was dirty. I didn't want to touch anything. Awful.

We are seasoned travellers and have met our share of unfair/unjust hotel operators and I have never experienced such rudeness. Behaviour completely unacceptable for a hotel manager/owner. I sure wish we would have read tripadvisor before booking. We surely would have looked for somewhere else to stay! You can rest assured that we will be advising our friends and co-racers...

This place is absolutely gross. I stayed here with my girlfriend for Bishop's Homecoming weekend, the place smelled, was dirty and the service was non-existent. This property is privately owned so even if you have a problem, the owner (who doubles as the night receptionist) does not care. Website lies about services available and free parking. Overcharged and refused to...

First and last experience at Wellington Hotel for sure. We paid a two night stay before having visited the room. My error. I'll never do that again. Five minutes later we asked for reimbursement and couldn't get it. Ok I can live with that for the first night but not wanting to reimburse the second night that I thing is...

We stayed in this Hotel for our anniversary weekend. The "Do Not Disturb" sign was on our door the *entire* time, and yet the cleaning lady still barged in on us! Neither of us were dressed, we were actually quite "busy". It was horrible!! She knocked, but didn't even wait 2 seconds for a response, she just used her key...
