Hi. We have been coming to Thompson's for close to 20 years and overall we are very happy here. Honestly though This year it seemed a bit off. The deck hands weren't around in the evening to give us a hand as they always have been before. Also We had asked the deck hands in the morning, which they were very helpful, for any fishing spots tips and they said they cant say as they have their own guided people to service, not realizing the amount of money I spend there every year is equally or more important. One of our boat's died one day and we towed ourselves back in, which sometimes things can happen I understand. Thompson's did give us a credit for the one boat for the day which was great, but overall the motors did seem under powered or definitely not new as we normally had other years. Lastly I understand sometimes a price increase is necessary... but Thompson's are now wanting to charge us with 8 people in our family for 2022 - $760 a night for the Back Bay Cabin. This is $260 MORE then in 2021 rates. This is extremely high in comparison to other lodges in Sask with comparable services. I would like a call back from the manager as I would agree to rate increase but a 50% one. These days with a large family its getting hard to afford and justify a $3000 - $4000 fishing trip for a couple of days Thanks …
And absolutely first class fishing lodge with the above average hospitality and food not to mention the fishing. I can’t begin to describe the fun times that we had and the gourmet food experience. Thank you again for all of your hospitality and fun times.
10/10 Excellent everything. The food was beyond explanation. The service, guiding and overall trip was the best of a lifetime. Caught trophy level Northern Pike, Walleye, Perch and even the ultra rare Blue Walleye. The Chef was out of this world. The lodge was 10/10. The guide was excellent.
What a great trip! Went to Thompson for 2 nights and then last minute trip to Dead lake for one night. It was a fantastic trip! Big shout out to the manager Perry! My new friend and guide Jaycee and also the best pilot I’ve ever flown with, Michael! Best ran fishing resort I have ever been too. Very highly recommended!
We only spent a night at the resort and stayed in the lake front hotel. It was clean, had everything we needed, and was a beautiful view of the lake. We sat on the dock for about an hour and caught 3 fish. Everything was perfect, zero complaints.
