Set your expectations low! Fortunately, it's close to main street. The bedding is clean but low quality. Need to unplug a lamp to plug in the TV or charge your phone. Wifi is slow (from my room anyway). Pretty low on my budget motel ranking.

The staff are nice. The location was very good. It was quiet. It had been cleaned well. That's about all I can say that was positive.

The outside is rundown. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke and the people smoking outside on the walkway next door didn't help. The A/C just did the job but that was all.

Yikes, I found a live bug in the bed between the dirty blanket and the clean sheets which I got rid of but that made me very suspicious and uncomfortable there might be more. There were ants in the bathroom and flies in the hotel room that bothered me.

It was too expensive for what you get. I do not recommend it.

Its showing its age and run down, it basically was the only thing left in town when I traveled tho. Not a bad location right between downtown and a great park.
Have to check out Uptown Cafe just down the street for food, good cheap they have no AC tho

This clumsy motel charges double payments for a single day stay because of lack of communication between management & no computer system to monitor payment activity for checking in. Report this motel to the authorities because the management engages in illegal activity through double payments. Once the payment is received then that’s how the room door is supposed to be opened electronically by the room card (without payment for that day then the room card automatically does not open the room door). This motel belongs in the 1980s. Don’t send random people to our room door either!

The room was clearly a smoking room relabeled as a non smoking room. There are cigarette burn marks on the nightstand, burn holes in the bed covering , the smell of stale cigarette smoke was nauseating. The walls has many spots needing drywall repairs and paint , the curtains have holes in them and are only attached with a couple of hangers . The furniture appears that it hasn’t been updated since the property was built - I’m guessing the 70’s . One plug in to choose plugging in the coffee maker, hair dryer , microwave, or air tiniest air conditioner. The other plug on that wall was for the bar fridge . For the price - I expected a decent but clearly not high end room . It was far below that .

Dirty room, terrible breakfast, AC not worth having, my wife sat on the corner of the bed and the mattress flipped up and she ended up on the floor. Our bleakest consisted of 2 dried up mandarin oranges a 3 day old muffin , cereal bar and a kids juice box.Not worth the money. The next day we paid less in another hotel and the breakfast was an actual breakfast.

I was triple charged for 1 night stay. Only received 1 refund, so now I was double charged. Never stay there. The guy at check in/check out isn't friendly and can't explain anything. Overall satisfaction 0%.

My wife and I stayed at the Thriftlodge Motel in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan Canada. We were set to stay two nights, however, we cancelled this second night because of the following problems during our first night’s stay:
1. Had to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room instead of the master bedroom because there was no air conditioning provided in the master bedroom and the temperature and humidity were high.
2. Found what looked like a cockroach in the kitchen. It was later classified as a wire beetle but it was no less disturbing.
3. Power to the room went out early in the morning leaving us no ability to turn on lights, run the air conditioning or blow-dry our hair.
4. Shower was dirty and quickly ran out of heated water.
Now I know why they make you pay before you stay here!!!
All of these problems were explained to the manager the next day but he would not credit me back 2 days of stay. We left for the Heritage Hotel and a much better experience.

This is not the place to stay at any time.

We were at a youth conference and were very tired when we got back to the hotel. There was only one parking spot infront of a room with the door wide open. There was no one insite but when I started looking in the door shut in my face. I went up to my room and started getting ready for bed. Then I heard cars speeding around in the parking lot so I went to the outdoor corridor balcony (I was on the 2nd floor they were on the 1st). That is where I watched many cars speed up, a person run in and within 5 seconds run out again and the car would speed away. It was pretty obvious what they were doing (DRUG DEALS).

The room was ok but I would not stay there again. It was very cheap and therefore did not have a free breakfast or anything. I would not advise anyone staying here!
