Hotel accommodations were very disappointing. Paint falling off of doors, chipped. Heating/air systems are very outdated and all carpets need to be cleaned badly. Windows need to be replaced. The entire hotel area needs a makeover and refresh. The beds were clean. No microwave, the fridge and furniture in rooms old and worn. Floor tiles are cracked in most areas. For the price that is being charged, the accommodations were less than stellar. Spa experience was great.

Thank you for taking a moment to share your concerns. We are sorry to hear that you did not find your accommodation to meet your expectations. We are by no means ignoring the need for updates to our guest rooms. Expectations rise over time and some specific features have now become expected in hotel rooms; desk level plugs, bedside chargers etc. As early as 2020 we had already retained a contractor to begin the renovation process. The world situation at the time obliged us to pause the project. Our new owners had not been on board for six months before we began that work once again.

Overall a great place to stay, the mineral pools were excellent adults and guests only on Friday nights from 9-12 was awesome. The only thing i would say is they need to promote the services more so you know what they offer like facials and massages etc. should have a rep. at the front desk area handing out brochures or something as we didnt even know until we were leaving. Also need to update the rooms a little as they seem and look lod.

Thank you for sharing your suggestion. To promote our spa facility within the four walls of the hotel is an area of opportunity that we believe we should explore.

We booked the hotel to attend a meeting. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful on multiple occasions. It was our first time at the mineral spa and we were impressed. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

My friend and I booked a month in advanced and had ask for two double beds or two queen. We had asked if they had corporate or senior rate They said they can do senior rate at 10 percent off. When we got to our room we were totally disgusted with the room. It had a very bad musty smell with no windows to open. It looked very dingy. The bathtub looked dirty black stains on the bottom and looked like a dog chew on the bathroom door. We went back to the front desk and asked for a different room. A gentleman behind the desk told us that people take those rooms cus there cheaper. I advised him I didn't ask for a cheaper room. We didn't care about the cost. We got a different room but not really any better. If I knew that because we asked for a senior rate that we qot the cheapest room we would of never asked. The room number was 118. That room should have never been rented out. Total cost of the room for two night almost 400 dollars. Totally disgusted

We were able to get away last minute for a weekend and decided to try Temple Gardens. We had not been here for many years, but always enjoyed it. The mineral pool is a great, but the room was a big diappoinment. Since it was last minute we could only get the honeymoon suite for $339 per night. The only updates to the room done lately was the shower and the bed which was comfy. The Jacuzzi tub had half the jets not working and no fan above it so the room was very humid. My husband opened a window and the had to go out on the balcony to get it closed as the crank was broken. Furniture is worn and the place lacks proper lighting. There is a makeup vanity in the bathroom but only one bulb above it and no make up mirror. There is no storage for clothes. For the price of this room I expected more.

I almost don't want too many people to know about this hidden gem in Canada. My husband and I have visited Temple Gardens many times. The mineralized water is great for my osteoarthritis. The outdoor heated pool is our favourite. However, I also thoroughly enjoy putting myself into the expert hands of the spa therapists. My favourite way to spoil myself is the reflexology by Leokadia, but I have enjoyed many different treatments. The staff is consistently excellent! Temple Gardens is located near many good restaurants and there are many unique stores to explore as well. If you want to indulge yourself, get the room with the big tub, which also fills with the mineralized water. I also love the fact that everyone wanders around in the housecoats provided by the hotel. Temple Gardens is a unique, wonderful place to relax and restore yourself.

This hotel was old, not very clean, and understaffed. The room: beds were worn out, the carpet was filthy and the bathroom had other people’s hair left behind. We stayed two nights and had no housekeeping. We had to go find clean towels and wash clothes. We had no coffee for the next morning and the coffee was a very low grade. The mineral pool stunk so bad of chlorine you had to get out because of the fumes. Never did see the water being checked for balance. The signage to find your way around the facility was poor at best. We were getting lost the whole time we were there. The spa services were overpriced compared to services not within the hotel. Never tried the restaurant as people said it was overpriced as well. The price of the room compared to other surrounding places was overpriced. Do not stay there!

I was very disappointed with the pool this time. We have enjoyed the mineral pool for the last 5 years. This year it smelt like a public swimming pool full of chlorine. I must admit that they did reline the pool which was noticeable. The rooms and carpets are very dated. They are working on renovations we were told. The two services at the spa were ok. I cant say that either the facial or the message were outstanding. Has been an annual holiday but will be thinking of finding a new place for next year.

Thank you for taking time to share your comments here. We can promise you that the chlorine levels in the water are unchanged, these are regulated by the local Health Authority. What can change from one year to another is the air circulation in the area depending on weather conditions. While actively working on renovations, we will not argue with guests who point out the need for them to take place. We are all sorry this work is not already completed. Our new owners made every effort to begin as soon as possible and it has been made clear to us that we will not be stopping until the job is done.

The room is a dump. Stayed on the 5th floor in 'the new side'. Floor is disgusting, stained and dirty. I placed towels all over so i wouldnt have to touch the filth. Soft furniture is dirty. The end tables etc look like something from a teens first basement suite! The blinds are bent and don't close well. The rooms should cost about $69 bucks. The pool is nice. The location to lots of restaurants is great. Next time we will stay at Grant Hall. I called the front desk to express our disappointment at being charged about $170 per night for this pathetic room. They offered a small discount and stated "we are aware of these issues".

Thank you for sharing, and also for writing to me personally. Nobody is arguing that our property is now ready for renovation. Our owners are undertaking a massive project to make that happen now that restrictions are reliably out of the way. Lead times on certain materials are longer than we would like at present but we assure you that we, as operators, are investing every effort to assist our owners with this project.

We were not permitted to use the pool due to an emergency cleaning and the pool being closed before 7:00 p.m. Although this is outside of the control of the hotel, no compensation or accommodating was offered. We were then awoken by city snow clearing at 3:00 a.m. for close to 2 hours-right outside the hotel at 3:00 a.m. Lastly, we were awoken by a fire alarm and several firetrucks at 8:00 a.m. It was a false alarm. I contacted the hotel to express my concerns and was not offered compensation, therefore we will not return to this hotel. It doesn't appear that they value their customers or any concerns we may have. The quality of the hotel and the service is not what is used to be.
