I loved the cozy, quiet, well appointed room which was very tastefully decorated. Dinner in the steakhouse was delicious, and the service was very good. All in all it was the nicest hotel I’ve been in in a very long time and a good experience start to finish.
We stayed for two nights and were pleased with our room . However the breakfast room was still closed due to COVID, as it was on our last visit which is not a good start to the day. They do offer a grab & go bag if that's your thing. We did enjoy our evening meal in the restaurant very good and the waitress Chrissy was polite friendly and professional. For a high class hotel you would expect a better quality toilet roll. I suggest you bring your own or buy a quality news paper. Also the heating will not adjust so you have a choice on or off. The hotel is very clean mind and that's important to us.
First time my husband and myself stayed there. Far superior to the Temple spa. The decor and feel of the room felt like we were in a bedroom not a hotel room. We loved the feel of the hotel steeped in history. Service was very good. Ran out of coffee in the room And front desk was very quick in bringing more coffee pods up. We are only 1 block from the spa so we walked there to use the pool. Location of the hotel is central. We will definately be back. Hope to bring our children and grandchildren next time. Truly an enjoyable stay. Jane C.
First I need to give credit to the heavenly bed and quality night sleep we got from this hotel. That’s the most important thing to me when staying the night at a hotel. The bed was clean and very comfortable. However I was surprised to find flaws in the bathroom. The faucet was loose and the toilet paper holder was almost falling off. The towel rack was poorly secured and I was afraid it would fall off when I grabbed a towel. The shower was clean but for the Grant Hall experience, I expected a grander design. It was a ill-sized plastic shower with a wand shower head. I thought tile or a regular size tub/shower attachment would be the style. Anyone over 5’10” would struggle in the shower. And no fan in the bathroom. Perhaps I’m being nit picky but it felt like you expected a royal experience and those things threw you off from your expectations. However, I will stress again the cleanliness of the place and the wonderful sleep we had. I took note of the brand of pillows they had because I liked them so much!…
Grant Hall is beautiful but not well run at all!! They phoned earlier in the week to say they had a heating problem- then they phoned to say it was fixed! We get to our room- first checked into the wrong rooms then get to our room - 3 space heaters keeping the room warm!! Once we turn on the lights the breaker blows!! We unplug 1 or 2 space heaters and the room goes to 64 degrees- we plug in the space heaters and the breaker blows!! We left and found another hotel!!
