We used this campground as an overnight between two very long driving days. We rolled in at 8:00 PM and rolled out at 6:30 AM, so maybe our review is lacking experience, but all we were looking for was an inexpensive place with a clean washroom building to quickly/easily set up our tent for a good quiet night's sleep. Clean washroom? Check. Quick/efficient check-in? Check. Quiet night? Check. Inexpensive? $30 is more than we paid per night for two weeks at two different campgrounds in Banff National Park, but it sure beats a hotel.

This is a lovely spot to camp in BUT, it is noisy, trains go by even late at night, lots of sirens and traffic. This is a great campsite for those who have self sufficient trailers or motorhomes, even though they have some tent sites, the grounds are not geared up for it, such as places for grey water, sink to wash your dishes and recycling bins. Further East we go, the bigger the camping rigs are and the lesser chances of finding tent sites. Bathrooms seems to be flooded, not sure why? My husband said they also have water on their floors too, seems to be coming from the janitors room. Internet sucks, SASKTEL515 is not recognized on any of my devices. We walked into town which is only a 15 minute walk, which is convenient. Tables were provided along with firepit and the service of the staff were friendly. $30 - $32 with electricity per night. They have kayak and canoe rentals and have running trails-parks nearby.

Hi Rose Thank you for taking the time to review our campground. We will certainly take on board your comments regarding tenting requirements and see what we can do to improve this for the next season. I have also mentioned the flooding in the bathrooms to our maintenance team who have fixed the problem. Unfortunately it is difficult to provide better WiFi service in this area as Sasktel have advised us that they are unable to boost the signal. Guests are welcome to sit on the bench outside of the campground office to check emails etc. I hope that you enjoy the rest of your summer travels. Best wishes Ailsa McKeen

We were there for a week. We were lucky to have someone in the office when we arrived but never saw them again. The so called "Free WiFi" is next to nothing unless you hang out outside the office building. Sites were very small. Hope you like your neighbour because they are RIGHT there! I think the bathrooms were looked at but not much cleaning took place the week we were there. It was the last week that the campground was open but there was basically no staff there at all and could of cared less about the campground.

This little gem of a campground by a river and close to downtown Moose Jaw is well worth staying at. Easy to get to, friendly and helpful staff, great spots for tenting (and RVs) and a washroom and shower facility that is well looked after

First of all after driving for 9 hours we arrived at the River Park Campground with our 25 foot trailer, and she gives us the worst lot ever #62, after backing up the trailer we only had 3 to 4 feet of space to put our chairs, we can't pull in because the tree branches are too low (they need to be cut) the fire pit was full of garbage and right beside a small forest and too close to our trailer, so no fire tonight, I also had a fire hydrant in front of my door, I asked the lady for some sort of credit she said no you can move spots but my husband is tired and has no patience. Oh there's no wifi (as advertised) only at the office which is like 300 feet away, anyways I won' t be coming back here, terrible service, I forgot to mention my picnic table is on lot #61 because there is no room to put it on my lot. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I will upload photos tomorrow when I have wifi, right now i'm using my data on my phone.

We stayed at this campground for one night passing through. We stayed in many campgrounds going out west and home. Not sure how anyone can review this more the 1 stars. Garbage everywhere and sites are dirty and unlevel. Truck was rummaged through by someone while we were sleeping. Ghetto of all campgrounds

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. It is disappointing to hear that your experience at our campground was so different to that of other campers who have reviewed us this season. We understand that your experience was tainted by someone going through your truck which was an unfortunate and rare occurrence. There are very few instances such as this, however as posted in the campground guidelines outside the office, it is the responsibility of campers to secure their belongings and vehicles. We also advise that any such issues are reported to the local police. We take pride in the appearance of our campground so we are disappointed to hear that you found garbage everywhere. Upon speaking to other campers who stayed adjacent to your site at the same time, they did not report any garbage in the campground. If our staff miss anything on their regular checks of the campground, we appreciate campers advising us of any issues such as garbage so we are able to address them in a timely fashion. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer.

The service at the camp is friendly, but hookups are horrible and have incorrect sides. The manager does not have any idea how to run it…and blames clients for it. The way I was treated by the manager is not acceptable. Even if mentioned that will be long term ( the end of the season) the treatment is not fair. She’s not willing to provide a summary of the dates payments, credits, or lot numbers ( I was moved twice in 3 weeks) and when mentioned that a new lot number have be provided I receive the email with all future cancellations attached. Make sure you did not provide a credit card number, other ways they will charge up to their discretion…
Donna is a rude, reckless person without any borders, customer service, or management skills…
The lawn is not looked after, even if you have free wood, is not delivered, on-site personnel is totally lost if come to payments, amounts and dates ( stop by twice in the on-site office and can not get any answers in respect to the credit or payments...They charge my credit card without hesitation or explanation were final invoice with the dates, charges, payments, and credits were requested several times.

Not recommended

I am attaching an email forwarded by Donna Bye

Please be advised any future bookings are now cancelled. In addition, the balance owing on site 77 is $569.00, please pay at the campground office or over the phone.
Thank you for your cooperation.

We stayed a couple nights in the RV here while on the Wheelchair Warren International Trek for Awareness. Excellent site to hold up with showers, power, sewer, water, and a friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit here if passing through!

Nice park conveniently located. Very close to historic downtown district which was fantastic. Decent free showers and clean bathrooms. No laundry. Spots are decent but very little privacy. On the river and in the middle of a very large park. Would stay again.

We booked a site here (58) to break in our new camper since it’s so close to home. It’s a great place the sites are a bit narrow but still do able. They do charge for wood but so do mostly all non provincial park sites. The prices are comparable to other regionals around here. Sites are clean and well kept and for the most part pretty level.

Hi there, Yes we can accommodate a 36ft fifth wheel! We are a small campground but we do have sites which are long enough for your rig. However we do not have 50amp, only 30amp sites with water (and some with sewer hook up). You do not need to reserve a fire pit in advance. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Best wishes Ailsa McKeen
