Detailed Reviews
We 3 stayed one night in July in a 2 bedroom suite. The front parking area is a bit unwecloming, since they are demolishing a building immediately in front of the north wing of the hotel. We parked in a handicapped spot, immediately in front, and adjacent to the main door. We faced the window of what looked like a storage room with a dress in the window, and half open broken wood slat blinds? The garbage can in the entry portico drive was full to overflowing; an abandond shopping cart was adjacent to it.
Check in was seamless. We got our room, but before getting into the elevator the reception staff called us back to give us another room. There is one elevator; it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. There was a table phone on a small table when we got off - the phone caddy was in two pieces for some reason; it was obviously broken. We got to the room. It was OK, but had faults. One of the two doors on the small cupboard over the microwave/fridge/sink was literally hanging off; the top hinge was nearly unscrewed. The bathroom sink drained really slowly. The bedcover on the main area bed had a 5 cm. long brown stain. The air conditioning unit in the second bedroom was missing a control panel cover.
The beds were OK and we had a decent sleep. The bathroom didn't had individual toiletries (except for one handsoap) but rather 3 bulk dispensers in the bathtub. Breakfast was good with oatmeal, pre-made small cheese omlettes, sausages, juices, etc. Check out was smooth. I mentioned the overflowing front garbage can. As we packed to go a staff member was emptying it.
Overall the hotel feels like it is not well looked after with many small defects that add up to an overall tawdriness. We would pick another place next time.

We were challenged by the worn out, musty smelling rooms for the two nights our extended family stayed at the PA Ramada. There is no hand soap provided in any of the three rooms, halls were very noisy at night after hours, and the Hotel parking lot is potholed and unpaved to a large extent. The pool area suggests towels are available but none were ever to be found . Water from the pool might explain why the elevator flooring is lifting? One of the biggest challenges was observing that toilet plungers 🪠 are stored adjacent to the Ice machine in the common hallway on the fourth floor. This is a hard image to forget. They need to do some serious renovations to the entire building and fix the hot tub .

I like this hotel but this is the 3rd time I'm
Missing things, at first it was ds game and games few yrs back, 2 yrs ago was my ring, and yesterday was my Oakley sun glasses, it didn't take long, half hour after I checked out, I went back right away and already room was being cleaned and no one seen the glasses. They really need new workers, the things that go missing from the room cost more then a night at the hotel, and seems like the manager won't do anything about this. I'm so mad at the hotel at the cleaning ppl.

Very horrible service. Staff is so rude and lazy. I called for towels and they told me to go down to get some. I sent my son down and they told him they would bring them up. 15 mins goes by and still no towels, so I called the front desk, and they told me I could go grab some at the front desk AGAIN (I made them bring them up to me)! The continental breakfast is also a lie. I was told we would get hot continental break fast when we booked and they only gave us $11 voucher for the restaurant which wasn’t even enough for one waffle (ONE waffle with whipped topping costed $12). I do not recommend this hotel what so ever! Spend your money else where.

Awful hotel! The wifi did not work whatsoever in my room and there were no other facilities to utilize wifi in. Bathrooms did not have soap in them during my stay. It is a yucky hotel and not well taken care of. Won’t be staying again. Book somewhere else!

This hotel is the grossest most disgusting hotel I have ever seen. We checked in, there were homeless people hanging around the lobby, the place was dirty. Got to our room, holy crap it was gross. the carpets were stained and very dirty, the wall were dirty and wallpaper peeling off, the blankets were stained. We checked in as a hockey team, one family found a live cockroach in there room! After that our whole team checked out within an hour of getting there. another team also checked out, leaving 2 hockey teams scrambling to find other hotels to stay at during a busy tournament weekend. We ended up staying an hour away. To top things off, the family who found the cockroach had to return the next day as they forgot something in their room only to find out that the hotel rented out their room already after finding a cockroach in it!! This hotel is giving Ramada a very bad image and it should be shut down by health inspectors.

Room was not ready for timely check in, appeared to be a common problem. A staffing problem in making rooms ready for guests? We were there four days, no room cleaning services provided at all. Needed to go to front desk daily to request towels and face cloths. No soap in containers. Shampoo container not attached to wall with others. Face cloths were never provided. No garbage removal from room over the entire four days. Noisy, fire alarm activated on two occasions, people in hallways late at night. Hot water is an extreme danger, terribly hot, would seriously burn a person if not careful. Hot tub shown is hotel photos has been out of commission for a very lengthy period of time. People sleeping in the stairwells and main floor washroom. Not the stay that we had expected from a Ramada. Never staying at this location again.

The Prince Albert Holiday Inn is not one of the better examples of a Holiday Inn. Most that I stay in, North Battleford for example, are clean, modern and comfortable. The one in PA is not. Carpets in the rooms are dirty, loose and in one case wet. I book the rooms for my crew and most of the guys had poor rooms. Safety latches were broken off of the doors, rooms smelled weird and the level of cleanliness was sub par. One guy in my crew had a king suite and it was nice though. Walls are paper thin and both nights I stayed the neighbours were up partying and making noise all night. Ice machines are on every floor but only one worked. Boxes and deliveries are left sitting in the hallways. Too many other issues to list. Breakfast area was nice and the food was decent. Staff is mostly friendly. In a nutshell this hotel is a dump, higher end of dump, but still a dump.

The Ramada Prince Albert was a disgrace to the Ramada name. The hotel was old and completely run down. The chairs in the “lobby” were trash. Just looking at them made us question why we chose this hotel. The button to the elevator was broken. Our room on the third floor was absolutely terrible. The door was difficult to open, close and lock. The floor was concave shaped-sunken in, the carpet was ancient. The sliding window had screws wedged in the frame to keep from opening the window more than an inch. The bathroom fixtures (besides the counter top) were from 1982 and the tub did not drain while showering. The aesthetic of the entire room was displeasing including the dim lighting and dated furniture. In the morning we searched for the free continental breakfast but discovered the door locked. After asking staff we were directed to the severely musty smelling dining room. The hotel did provide us with a decent hot breakfast, but hard to enjoy in the stinky space.
We did not enjoy our stay and would never encourage anyone to use this hotel.

Well on the plus side the complimentary breakfast is great. The beds are clean and comfy and the staff is polite. On the negative side there are some much needed upgrades. First off the door stuck so badly that I could not open it from inside. I reported this very serious concern but nothing was done about this. The screens on the windows are all ripped. The chair in the room was so bad I was afraid it would break when I sat in it. The keys to the door did not work most of the time despite taking them down to the desk to be fixed. Be very careful in the bathroom. The tub has very curved sides so it’s tricky to stand in the shower. As for the common areas-pool seems nice enough but the hot tub has chipped tiles and was so low on water that the top jets were almost exposed. So overall not a great place to stay but options are slim in Prince Albert.
