We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2017. It is a lovely older home with lots of history. The room was large and comfortable. We had a large 4 poster bed and a small sitting room beside the bedroom. The bathroom was down the hall but we were the only people staying so we had it to ourselves the whole time. Breakfast was delicious - Eggs with a delicious Welch cheese topping and a tomato slice. Yummy. Herman was an friendly host who had lots of interesting history and farming information.
Herman and Edwina are wonderful hosts. They have just the right mix of hospitality, friendly conversation, visiting tips, all while letting you have your space and relax. We have stayed here many times over the years and now are traveling with a toddler. They have multiple room choices to suite your needs. From regular-sized single rooms, to a huge suite complete with separate bedroom, 2 queen beds one in bedroom and one studio-style, full-sized table and chairs, couch, comfy TV chair, mini fridge stocked with water, Tassimo-style coffee/tea machine, microwave and dishes upon request. We have invited other family members to join us at the B&B for visiting and breakfast which they were happy to accommodate. The food is really top-notch. Amazing yogurt and berry parfait, pancakes, waffles, ham and eggs, eggs benedict with asparagus... There is always a fruit bowl and selection of teas for you to help yourself to. The location is central, just off 2nd Ave, up the hill from the historic downtown, the river, and the conveniences of 2nd Ave or 15th. (Really nothing is far in Prince Albert). From convienence and comfort to a little luxury and great food, this place is highly recommended for any traveller.…
My mom and I + my 10 month old went back to Prince Albert to visit friends and relatives. This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was. It certainly exceeded my expectations...not only was the house beautiful the owners are absolutely lovely too. They treated us like family!!! actually probably better!!! They served us these amazing breakfasts and even tailored to my daughter!!! I would almost like to keep this place my little secret, but this place was so great that people deserve to know and I wish nothing but success to the owners because they epitomize what customer service should be. Wonderful wonderful place!!!
Our experience at this lovingly maintained home built in 1912, was excellent. Proprietors Herman and Edwina treated my wife and I like royalty. Our room was large and tastefully furnished in lovely Victorian period furniture, and we slept soundly thanks to the quiet residential location well away from traffic noise. Breakfast was a DELICIOUS Eggs benny dish preceeded by a tasty large fresh fruit parfait, with ample juice and coffee. For the modest total charge of $115 taxes in, which included what would easily be a $50 breakfast out for two, we were thrilled and determined to go back when next in Prince Albert overnight. This B&B is steps away from Diefenbaker House, a free tourist attraction full of memorabilia belong to the late Prime Minister, so we took that in as well. Excellent value and highly recommended B&B! Warning - you may feel guilty paying so little for so much, as we did. …
My friend and I stayed on the third floor of the Red Pine for four nights in April. It was the best place I've ever stayed in Prince Albert by far. Edwina and Herman were superb hosts; my girlfriend had a birthday while we there and they even gave her a card and some chocolates! The home itself is a gem on one of the city's best streets. I hope to return.
