We were in town for the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival and ended up here. Right on 8th Street so can get traffic racing noise at night especially on the weekend. Check in was a bit frantic as a guest ahead of me was having credit card problems because the hotel required a $250 per night damage deposit and he was staying 2 nights and the extra $500 hold was causing a problem for him. That is an excessive hold amount, twice the room rate we were paying. We had a room for 4 nights and the damage deposit hold on our room was $1000 for a room that cost $617. It all worked out in the end, room charges etc. but their process caused concern for many guests.

Also, arrival date was July 6 but if wanted to cancel, we had to do by June 29. If you have uncertain travel plans, 7-day cancellation doesn’t work. If you wanted to check in too early, there was an early check in charge.

Once you get past the very high hold on the credit cards and other restrictive policies, the rest was fine. Great staff at the front desk, in the kitchen and on the room floors.

The room was clean and ours was on the west side, got to see the sunset and darker in the morning so better to sleep in. There was a king bed, good blackout curtains, sitting chair, foot stool, work desk, fridge, microwave, Keurig, kettle, TV with local cable, included wifi, large walk-in shower and enough towels. Only very firm pillows (4). There was some road noise, mostly on the weekend from racing cars and motorcycles. There is underground and surface parking.

Breakfast-large hot items, potatoes, eggs, meat, breads, bagels, cereals, porridge, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee, milk, waffles all good. Eggs and meat change a bit every day. Great staff refilling all the time and kept up even on the busy weekend.

On 8th Street with lots of everything around and nearby. Overall, the hotel rooms and staff were great and could stay there again but may look elsewhere for a place with a regular credit card hold amount and less restrictive check in policies.

Thank you for sharing your detailed review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the cleanliness of your room, the amenities, and the beautiful sunset views from the west side. We're also glad you appreciated the breakfast offerings and our dedicated staff who worked hard to keep everything well-stocked, especially on busy weekends. We understand your concerns about the firmness of the pillows and road noise, and we will review these aspects to see how we can improve the guest experience. Regarding the credit card hold and check-in policies, we value your feedback, and we will certainly take it into consideration to make the process as smooth as possible for all our guests. We would like to clarify that the pre-authorization processed at check-in covers the cost of your room, taxes, fees, as well as the security deposit and incidentals. Additionally, it includes the terms of the cancellation policy associated with your reservation. Upon review, we see that you booked under a special discounted rate, which is why your reservation has a 7-day cancellation policy. Please note that standard reservations are subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy. We appreciate your understanding, and if you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

Located on the east side and very close to circle road so access was great. Lower underground parking was full so needed to park behind the hotel. The staff were friendly and the room price was very reasonable. Did not get the chance to see the pool area. Will stay again if I ever return to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The hotel looks nice, smells newly-renovated, and above all, they have these fancy lighting indicators outside of each room where they display the room numbers showing green, white, or red light depending on the guests' needs. Green means needs housekeeping, red light means do not disturb, and white light means neither.

Gym is open 24/7. There's also a pool beside it. Didn't use those two so can't comment on them.

Breakfast is free, is served at 6 am and has a full breakfast. They have a wide selection of food choices. There's only one meat choice though. They alternate between days (bacon on one day, ham on the other, etc.)

The room that I have (2 queen) has a sink outside the washroom and a sink inside. Fancy! The shower curtain is too short though! If you're the first user of the shower, the dry shower curtain will just slip through the tub! So please wet them before getting in! I did not expect it and my room got flooded! Luckily, there were only three of us and we used the fourth towel to wipe off the flood!

They have surface parking and underground parking. We chose underground so it's easy to bring luggage back to the vehicle while checking out. They have a front and a back entrance. The card reader for the back entrance is between the storm door and the second door.

Now that is a flaw, because one night, a homeless man reeking of alcohol slept inside between those two doors. Us checking out, trying to bring our luggage to the car, we were trying to sneak through the sleeping guy, and of course coming back we have to open the second door which goes to inside the hotel. So we tapped the keycard to open it, and then out of panic that the guy gets in, I forcefully struggled to close the door against the mechanized opening of the door. I was able to close it, but I broke the back door as a result. Couldn't open it anymore with the button. Oops.

Going back to the room, I took a peek outside to our vehicle. To my surprise, the homeless guy was checking out our car peeking through the windows and checking out our tires! So out of fear that he breaks in or vandalize our vehicle (we drove all the way from Manitoba on a rental) we hurriedly brought more luggage down to the car and thankfully he was off the property by the time we went down. Coming back to check on my family still in the room, there was a spit on the floor where he slept (No worries, I won't upload it). Yikes!

But still relieved that our vehicle left unscathed, and the door was also fixed too by staff, so what a relief there. So yes, the hotel itself is absolutely great, but just be careful of the sketchy elements surrounding it!

Nice hotel but the staff make you feel uncomfortable and as though you aren't trustworthy. The pool had a staff member watching you the whole time, not a life guard, just someone to limit the amount of fun had in the pool. No drinking water allowed in the pool area, I can understand food and other drinks, but no water?! Come on. We have a negotiated rate with Sask Health Authority but the employees did everything they could to not honor that rate. They even went so far as to say that we can't give that rate if it wasn't requested upon booking. Wow, I didn't know technology was so limited that this isn't possible... I mean, if you don't want to give rate specials, don't negotiate them in the first place!
Underground parking is a nice perk but the spaces are limited so not guaranteed to get a place to park there.
Overall, a nice hotel in a decent location but it is worth it when you feel uncomfortable the whole time, like the staff are just watching you to do something against their rules. Not everyone is a criminal, ease up a little bit.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We truly value your input and apologize for not meeting your expectations during your experience. Please be assured that we strive to provide the best possible service to all of our guests. We do not have a designated eating area inside, we do not allow any food or beverage to avoid spillage that can cause contamination of the pool. Also, as per Saskatchewan law that in order to have the water slide turned on, there must be a staff member there to supervise. In regard to your inquiry, we do offer a discounted rate for Saskatchewan Health Authority employees. However, to ensure that this rate can be applied, we kindly ask that proper proof or documentation be presented at the time of check-in for verification purposes. This helps us maintain accurate records and ensure we are offering the correct rates to eligible guests. Regards,

An overall very average hotel.
What struck me the most about this property were all the rules that they strictly enforce. I travel to SK regularly for work and this was the first time I’ve encountered a property like this.
All these rules really take away from the feeling of an enjoyable hotel “guest” experience.

Pros:
- Underground parking
- Friendly staff
- Clean and seemingly new’ish property
- No carpet in the rooms (which will also fall under cons)

Cons:

- LOTS of strongly enforced rules:

1. I was unable to check in with my business credit card (this was a first) I ended up using my personal card while waiting to complete an authorization form for the use of my business card. **I will note that the staff remained friendly through this process.

2. Pool area closes at 10pm, and they mean it! 10pm on the nose and security came to kick me out of the hot tub. This is early considering there are no rooms located directly off the pool area. Most hotels will allow you to continue use after closing hours so long as there’s no excessive noise.

3. Excessive amount of rules/signs in the pool area. No beverages, no food, no bottles, shower before entering, etc… A sign literally posted to every surface possible.

4. No bookings if you live within 25 miles of the hotel. This didn’t affect me but I feel like it’s important to list because it trends with all the strange rules this place enforces.

- Horrible pillows! Extremely lumpy with a high loft, weird combination. I actually went to Winners and bought my own pillow. Beds are also very firm; That might be a pro for some but it’s a con in my books.

- Rooms can be noisy if you have a heavy footed upstairs neighbour. I generally prefer hotels that do not have carpet in the rooms but on this visit I could clearly hear the people above me.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly value guest reviews as they help us improve and maintain the quality of our service. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the underground parking, friendly staff, and cleanliness of our property. Your positive comments are much appreciated! We do apologize that our hotel policies and rules impacted your experience. We aim to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all of our guests, and we understand that some of our policies might feel restrictive. We are grateful for your understanding of the process with the business credit card, and we’ll certainly take your feedback into consideration regarding our pool hours and signage. We also apologize for the discomfort you experienced with the pillows and the noise from neighboring guests. We understand how important a restful night’s sleep is, and your comments about the firmness of the beds and the pillows will be reviewed to improve comfort. Once again, thank you for your review. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for a more enjoyable stay.

This modern and beautiful hotel is easy to find, has connecting rooms and helpful staff. We were in the city for appointments and my son and father enjoyed the pool and workout room. The staff were very helpful to ensure we got the best rate as well as connecting rooms that were convenient to the pool and front desk. We would stay again.

We came to town for a kids ball tournament. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Underground parking and parking lot options. Our truck was too big for underground, but we still felt safe being in the parking lot. Lots of restaurants and coffee options in walking distance to hotel. Kids enjoyed the pool, waterslide, and hot tub, and staff were present to keep things clean and tidy. Lots of breakfast options, and nice coffee selection too. Great stay, would highly recommend, and would absolutely stay again.

We arrived to see a sick relative with cancer over Easter. We were a group of 5 with three children. Just like last time we purchased to stay at this facility; we arrived an hour early to play in the pool before supper with family on Easter Sunday. The Manager at 2:45 pm said “NO! We will call you when your room is ready and you cannot use the facilities until checkin at 4pm. Please see attached photos of the empty pool. Being Easter Sunday we were left on the street until 4 pm. This change in policy should be more effectively indicated at the time of the booking. So we could schedule a more accommodating facility.

I booked our first 2 nights through expedia although I thought I had booked for 3 nights. The 2 nights through Expedia cost $450.46. The 3rd night through the hotel cost $180.54. Why would I even consider booking through Expedia. When I called customer service I was literally told "that's too bad". I will not book through this medium again.

We were so impressed by how this hotel and its crew are managing during the pandemic to still offer excellent service. Top notch organization, signage, sanitizing stations... and they adapted their free breakfast to allow more options than just a muffin and juice box by allowing us to choose (the night before) from quite a number of options. The next morning at our chosen breakfast time everything was ready to be picked up and taken back to our room. Loved also that the pool was open (while maintaining appropriate low numbers of people at a time), not too cold, and the hot tub was definitely hot!
I also love that there is a separate (additional) sink and mirror outside of the room's bathroom to allow brushing of teeth or combing of hair while another is using the toilet. And no noisy fan in the bathroom everytime you enter which we have run into in other hotels (then waking my spouse when using the washroom at night).
Mattresses were very comfortable, yet supportive. And there were two different pillow densities so you could choose softer or firmer (or one of each) on the beds.
