Very nice hotel. Right on ALCAN highway. Plenty of parking for single vehicles, if towing a trailer there is some space to park behind the hotel. Easy walk (150 yards) to restaurant. On-site restaurant is not open yet (was there 1 May). Hot water to shower is very hot…check temp out before stepping into shower. Thought the card list showing items in room and how much you will be charged if you break something is a bit over the top, I would hope customers staying there don’t really need this actually.
no microwave and iron available, for work travelling purposes to stay need clothing to be iron and also extra food taken out can use microwave to heat up than throwing it away or eat cold which is not good.
I stayed at this Hotel last month and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The rooms were spacious and very clean and the beds and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. The rain shower was excellent. The staff at front desk and housekeeping were extremely polite and friendly. One of the most amazing view was from my room overlooking the beautiful mountains. The hotel is across the street from the airport, approximately 5-7 minutes walk which I enjoyed rather than taking a cab. This has been a great experience and look forward to returning soon.
Wonderful hotel right across the street from the airport ! I actually walked to the hotel once my flight arrived ! The front desk was very professional and welcoming! My room was very clean and I loved the Pillows and Bed - Fantastic sleeps!! Amazing views off the mountains from my window ! only minutes to downtown. The restaurant was under renovations however the staff advised it will be opening soon which will be a huge plus !! Felt super safe staying there which is another big plus!
Don't be fooled by the hotel being close to the airport - it isn't worth your time or money. Stay in town somewhere like the Edgewater, which was charming. SKKY rented out a room they knew had a broken climate control system, resulting in the "Presidential Suite" roasting at 30C upon check-in. Add the backed-up sewage pipe wafting its reek up the drain in the bathroom floor, and you get the pleasure of a $268/night swamp. They'll kindly downgrade you to an executive suite and offer $25 as compensation for your trouble... without admitting that that amounts to the price difference between the rooms. Very generous. Executive suite also suffering from climate control issues, although without the sewage smell, and eventually a pair of tower fans and an open balcony door in March were the winning combination to find a temperature at which one could sleep. Disgraceful customer service when requesting to speak with the manager - that conversation was dodged with an email and an attached credit card receipt with the charges already processed, minus a $50 deduction, clearly uninterested in talking to the guest. Take your business elsewhere! …
