Like many things I do, this review is a wee bit past due. My wife, Carol, and I fled Ottawa's insufferable heat and humidity in July 2012 (not July 2020, as shown below) to travel to the Yukon. It was our first trip that far north, and a visit I yearned for since reading Jack London books as a child in southern India and Robert Service's poems as an adult immigrant in Ottawa. Greg was very easygoing in our pre-trip communications and such a gent upon our arrival. He quickly sized up our interests and guided us to restaurants, stores and hikes that more than sated our needs. After our initial three night stay, we returned again in the middle of our trip for a one-nighter and again at the end of our trip for two nights. He could not have been more accommodating. He even answered our plea for help when we discovered upon our return to Ottawa that we may have left behind our tent poles in the nearby schoolyard where we dried the soaked tent just prior to our flight. Greg trotted over, found our poles and sent them to us gratis via a friend who was coming to Ottawa a fortnight later on business. He was a fount of sensible local knowledge, and not just the purveyor of endless, patronizing PR verbiage. He quickly sized up our interests and attitudes by politely suggesting places and events to consider. He did not miss the mark one bit. We cherished our breakfasts in his company and felt very comfortable coming and going as it suited us. We would go back to this pleasurable alcove any time. Really!…
Greg is very accommodating and goes out of his way to make sure we feel right at home. The room is spacious with lots of closet space and all the amenities we need. A wonderful B & B located within walking distance to Downtown and the nearest bus stop is just a block away. Breakfasts were delicious! My daughter loves the waffles! Greg is very helpful and offered to give us a ride to the Yukon Wildlife Reserve and Hot Springs. We spent 5 nights at the Four Seasons and would definitely recommend this delightful B & B!
Greg runs a very relaxing B&B that has a real homely feel. We love the sitting room downstairs where you can put your feet up and not feel that you are cooped up in your room as with some places. There is a great selection for breakfast which Greg attends to personally, Overall a very friendly place with an excellent host,
Just spent the night at the Four Seasons. Room was large and bed was comfortable. Greg is a friendly host who makes you feel at home and has lots of first hand knowledge of the area. It's located on a quiet residential street not far from downtown.
Very comfortable B&B. Greg, the host, is very knowledgeable about local attractions and most helpful to guests. He made sure we were at the station at the correct time for our bus and train outing to Skagway. He also advises on local buses, restaurants, etc. His B&B is within walking distance of downtown, and the walk is beautiful. Also, he cooks delicious breakfasts!
