Because of its downtown, historic nature, there is not an elevator and there are some nooks and crannies to navigate. I had zero problem with this especially given that everything is completely renovated and fresh. Also I booked directly with the hotel and asked for a first floor room and they were able to confirm that for me, so if an elevator is an issue for you then just try booking directly. You always get better service when booking directly anyway. If you don't have a preference, the 2nd floor rooms looked like they were a bit quieter with nicer views, so there's still a bonus for you if you go that option.
Yes, the standard rooms are small. But don't book the smallest room in the place and then complain that rooms are small. There are *multiple* upgrade options to larger rooms. I stayed in a "Deluxe" room, just one upgrade up from a standard room and a very modest/reasonble upgrade fee, and my room was plenty spacious.
Rooms are thoughtfully curated and the staff in the hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly.
Location is pristine-literally right outside your door are tons of shops, restaurants and even a gorgeous walk/bike trail along the river.
Belly of the Bison restaurant was delish! The mushroom ravioli in particular was divine.
This place is a total gem in Whitehorse!
The hotel does not have an elevator, so be prepared to lug your 50 pound suitcase up stairs and through doors dividing various hallways.
Because of Covid, there was no room service to speak of. We had to leave our garbage bag of trash outside the room so they would take it away. They took it away all right, but on several days, did not leave us a replacement plastic bag to put in the bin. One would think that it would be common sense to leave a bag when you take one away!
Cassandra was friendly and speedy at coming in to do a quick vacuum when asked, or give us more tea or coffee supplies.
We could easily hear the stomping noise of people walking in the room above us.
We have a king suite with a spacious one bedroom, a full kitchen with a 2 person dinette, a living room with a sofa bed, but no balcony. The bathroom is nice with a separate shower, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap.
It's located perfectly downtown right on Main Street, so there is no need to take the car out for some shopping and nearby restaurants. The park is nearby, as well as some sites to see.
However, parking is limited and we had to park our car overnight on the street and move it by 9 am. The front desk was courteous but the male receptionist acted like I was lying when I told him there was no parking left. Why the hell would I lie over parking? We had rented a large pick up truck at the airport, and there was no parking. Someone had even parked their car on the side entrance to the lot because it was full.
The walls are thin-we can hear the young family and kids screaming all night long. It is 1 am and I can still hear them screaming and the parents talking loudly. I have never been in a hotel with such thin walls. This is unacceptable. We can hear hear the music next door, and the people outside.
I am writing this as l listen to the screaming and crying and yelling. I've warned you.

The hotel staff person who assisted did not seem to care, and apologized without any real solution.
The room itself, at $319 before tax/night was chaotic. There were two speakers under the windows that blared music until after 10 pm (which hotel staff assured us they would attend to by 10 pm but it took 2 calls to finally get it done) the cleaning staff office was across the hall from us and started around 8 am with yelling down hallways and constant door slamming.
The hotel itself is exhausting - the walls are thin and noise and slamming doors is constant. The street itself hosts a loud bar and then party goers right under room windows until 1 am. We left exhausted.
The manager seems to only apologize without taking any initiative. All in all, after a fantastic 2 weeks in Yukon with wonderful hotels and inns across the territory, the hotel is to be avoided at all costs.
