I was able to book in next to my friend and his family travelling through…too many to fit in my condo! We had a wonderful time…and a lovely little camp fire! I live in Whitehorse…but I always drive out to use Caribou RV’s sani dump and water services…reasonably priced…and the owners are always friendly and helpful!

Caribou has a great location off the Alaskan Highway, just south of Whitehorse near the Carcross turnoff. Both tent camping and RV hookups are available, with clean bathrooms, HOT showers, a small convenience store, and amazing views of the snow-capped mountains. The owners are super friendly and genuinely want to make your stay a happy experience. Right next door is a restaurant for takeout or dine-in, and you can order goodies from the bakery most weekdays. Definitely a thumbs up!

We booked at Caribou RV Park for two weeks for our self-isolation stay in May 2020. We could not have been happier with our choice! The park was well run and quiet. Our hosts, Sandra and Steve, were amazing. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They also shared a wealth of knowledge about local trails, flora and fauna, shopping and events with us. As well, they advised us about a great mobile RV repair service which we used to our great satisfaction. They have a nicely stocked store and offer a great fresh bakery service (including gluten -free options) which we greatly enjoyed. When we were in a pinch they were able to accommodate us in a suite at a moment’s notice while our RV was being repaired. We enjoyed walking the trails around the campsite. To top it all of, our roof rack needed adjustment for our canoe, and out of the goodness of his heart, Steve assessed the problem and made an accessory for our roof rack which completely solved the problem. Sandra offerred the service of home-cooked dinners for those on self isolation, and we enjoyed a delicious hot dinner thanks to her. We give CaribouCaribou RV park our highest recommendation.

This well run campground made a great base to explore Whitehorse and surrounding area. We were tenting and loved the peaceful, wooded site on the edge of the campground. The owners are friendly and helpful. The adults appreciated the clean washrooms, hot showers and laundry room and the kids liked the store (ice cream!), the book exchange and the nightly visits to our campfire from the resident fox.

Wow, where do I begin? My family and I moved to Yukon in Spring of 2020 and we have stayed at Caribou RV Park during both summer and winter months for long stretches of time. Steve and Sandra, the owners, were always accomodating, professional, caring and just a phone call away. My family always felt comfortable, content and welcomed at the campground - it has become my home away from home!

The basics:

The bathrooms and laundry room are fully loaded with everything you could need and always spotless! The sites are well maintained and set up for memorable laughs around the campfire! Great environment for everyone and always quiet and respecful. Amazing mountainview and the perfect hiking trails for your furry companions! 15 minutes from Whitehorse and 40 from Carcross!

The Extras:

I have met so many people from around the globe here at the campground! Unlimited memories and good times have been made with more to come! The owners run a store here during the season that has all of your camping needs plus more! So convenient and you are met with professionalism and kindness at the door every time!

Caribou RV Park will always be a special place close to our hearts and I recommend this place to anyone. Best campground in Yukon, by far!

Cheers Steve and Sandra! we are so thankful to have met you and we appreciate your exceptional service and kindness.

Super friendly owners who are very helpful. They told us all the good places to go showed us on a map. The bathroom facility is four separate rooms with a vanity mirror toilet and shower with lots of hot water! The little store is well appointed with items campers need. You can order fresh baked bread for delivery the next morning. It was a nice place to stay.

Sandra and Steve are the proud owners of Caribou RV park and it shows. Super Friendly -need something in town - we can run in and get it for you - from the big picture to the smallest detail they have it covered. They are very well informed about local history and points of interest in the area. Hot hot showers are so lovely! Super clean laundry facilities. Ability to order fresh Swiss baked goodies and bread is such a treat! and delivered right to your door!! The side store is well stocked with what you might need at very good prices. Plus there is a lovely historic day use log cabin that has been decorated with interesting artifacts that have been collected from the Yukon.

After reading the amazing reviews prior to booking, we took the dive and booked the “moose cabin”. The communication with Steve was impeccable. On our way to Whitehorse, he and his wife stayed in communication with us, elaborating in their accommodations and amenities at their site. Once arrived, we met with the hosts, and they were so sweet! We reminisced about Luxembourg and settled in for the night afterwards. The cabin had everything you needed for a little “indoor camping”. My husband and I sat out on the nice wooden picnic table outside of our cabin and cheers with a beer. There’s a nice little place to start a fire and wood is available for purchase at the office. The showers and bathrooms were approximately 50 meters away from the front door of the cabin, which made things pretty easy! Steve and his wife stocked the cabin with a toaster, fridge, coffee maker and microwave (they also had coffee to brew, tea, and other consumables). It was delightful. No complaints at all. Highly recommend and if we are traveling through again, we will be staying here! Thank y’all!

Caribou RV Park is a delightful place to camp near Whitehorse. We are tent campers and don't usually stay in RV parks but this campground didn't feel like most US RV parks. There are plenty of trees and the amenities there are wonderful. We ordered the breakfast box and were quite delighted with all the delicious goodies inside; it was well worth it. The showers and laundry room were kept sparkling clean and we appreciated having laundry facilities on premises. The store on site had an amazing variety of food and camp supplies and again we appreciated all it had to offer. We would stay there again without hesitation.

The chalet cabin we rented was beautiful, and we got the campsite beside it free of charge. The cabin had a couch and beds in the loft for sleeping, along with a kitchenette (fridge, coffee maker, and microwave).

The shared showers/bathrooms were great! There was also a car wash, dish washing station, and a place to refill your drinking water.

The owners were very friendly and accomodating, and helped us find great places to visit! I would definitely come back and camp again!
