Detailed Reviews
Hi Country RV Park is conveniently located about five minutes from downtown Whitehorse. The facility is superior— great staff, lots of good spots with trees, full hookups, clean showers, and even some interesting local artefacts, including a 1953 M37 Wagon. The only detractors would be weak internet and the occasional motorcycle/muscle car revving its engine racing up a nearby hill. Overall highly recommended.

Good stay bit neighbors showed up at 1030pm and were talking and laughing for several hours waking us up. Finally had to tell them to stop. Right beside a loud highway so hard to sleep in a tent. Washrooms are a bit of a walk. It's a busy place but they have lots of laundry available for $5 a load and $4 dry. A bit expensive but needed. Showers are free. Washrooms closed for an hour around dinner so had to go elsewhere to use a washroom which is very annoying. There is a gift shop and they do have single serve local beers if you don't want to go to town. It is pricey though. We would prefer something quieter as the highway was too loud to have a good sleep.

We stayed here on our way to Alaska and again on our way back from Alaska. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom and laundry area were clean. The biggest issue with this park is the tight spots. This is the most I had to pay for laundry while on our trip. It was $5.00 a load to wash and $4.00 a load to dry.

Do not let them blind you with their shiny reception, the cute gift shop, the promises of all bells and whistles you seem to get when you stay here.
You will end up in a cramped park, the washrooms do not get the attention they should, and the free wifi is a joke.
A full serviced site is so small, that you will end up eating at your neighbors table because there’s simply not enough space.
The washrooms reek of urine and the showers look like monkeys have been in there. When complaining to the management, they said that it’s way too many people who come through.
That’s just a cheap excuse that they do not want to hire more or better trained people to keep everything clean.
My advice: go to Pioneer RV in Whitehorse. They’re a bit more rustic, but the tree sites are quiet and they know how to clean their stuff.

The pull-through side of the campground has spacious sites, but the back in to sites are so small. They pack you in like sardines with maybe 6 feet between you and your neighbor. There is no way to enjoy sitting outside or enjoying the fire pit because the sites are just to small!

Very inexperienced staff. They rented me a site too small for my unit. I asked for a refund and told the manager is the only one able to give refunds. 2 days later and manager still playing games. I left a phone number she has not called. I go to the office and always told the manager is not in . A Total rip off

Let's be honest about RV parks. For the most part RV parks in the Yukon are simple parking lots catering to Alaska treckers who simply want to park and watch their sat-TV for the night. Hi Country is not a parking lot. The site is liberally populated with..... trees! Honestly not as many trees as the excellent Yukon Gov't campsites, but those don't have power, water and sewer now, do they? If you need full or partial hookups for your rig and prefer the shade of vegitation over the shadow of a 75ft bus pulling an F150, we recommend this park.

Don't bother trying to call. We were a day early and knew that. We tried calling for three days, numerous times. When we arrived early, there were no spots open. The woman checking us in was very rude. She also said bluntly, "Oh, we don't answer the phone, we are too busy." We moved on to Pioneer RV park a few miles away, and the woman working there was wonderful. So we cancelled our Hi Country online for both nights and stayed with Pioneer.

Stayed here one night on the way to Dawson City. Advertised as 3km from downtown Whitehorse but more like 6-7. The place looks not too bad at first glance-the gift shop is very nice and check in was good. The sites are very small and if you choose a full service site with sewer be prepared for your picnic table and fire pit to be very close to the neighbours sewer discharge. Needless to say, we didn’t eat outside. Not sure how that design got passed. My friends picnic table was in terrible shape-peeling paint and rotten boards with nails not keeping anything together. Anyhow glad it was only one night here.

RV sites were level and clean. Washroom/ showers were very clean. Staff were helpful. There could be a little more space between sites for more privacy. RV park conveniently located.
We would stay there again.
