Hôtel L'Incomparable boasts a reputation for professional service and a high-quality atmosphere, with many guests enjoying the luxurious rooms and stunning views. Although the spa and breakfast often receive praise, some guests have voiced concerns over the value, citing a mismatch between price and the luxury promised.
While the rooms are generally celebrated for their comfort and modern touches, issues with smell and noise occasionally arise. Additionally, inconsistencies with the pool's cleanliness and noise insulation have been noted, despite the overall maintenance of the hotel.

When we saw 5 stars, we said to ourselves that this was going to be our first 5 star. We have already had several 4 stars so we were impatient to measure the delta between these establishments. We were surprised because ultimately, this establishment, as beautiful as it is, does not deserve 5 stars (this judgment is ours alone) because several details surprised us. First of all, the person who welcomed us was very friendly but his explanations were more than summary. We were invited to go for a welcome drink, much to the astonishment of the bartender who seemed a little lost. He was making a cocktail for a customer, after 15 minutes, he served it to her but unfortunately, being lukewarm, the customer brought back her cocktail. Concerning us, without explanation, he placed two glasses on our table then we did not see him again. So we will never know what we drank. In the evening, the gourmet restaurant being closed, we dined according to the bistronomic formula, menu at €55. We wanted to drink wine by the glass, following the advice of the waitress, we opted for a white Saint Joseph but several minutes later, she came back telling us that she no longer had any white Saint Joseph. So she comes back with a white Burgundy. For red wine, by the glass, there is little choice however at €14 and €16 per glass, it's excessive, 4 glasses of wine: €60. The SPA is very good but still small details which are not even worthy of a 4 star, a common bottle of water for drinking, not even herbal tea or herbal tea as you can find in all SPAs from three stars, the sauna had difficulty making us sweat, certainly a problem because we raised the thermostat to 110 degrees and 20 minutes later, we came out due to lack of heat. Well, I'm not going to say that we are disappointed but it is not the standard that we expected.

5 stars means perfection? We went to the Incomparable the weekend of July 14-15-16 as a family. So we took a family suite, a large bed for the parents and the campsite for the children! And yes, a 5-star hotel with camp beds for children... Juliette, the little sister, turns on her side in her super camp bed and feels like she's on a boat, it's rocking!!
Following our stay, we received an email from the hotel telling us that they had improved the camp beds, which proves their good faith and that they had taken our comments into account.
On the other hand, in terms of the setting it is perfection there is nothing to complain about, the room with its decoration and the materials were magnificent and of high quality, the view of Lake Bourget unobstructed and the garden very well maintained. The spa is very clean, towels provided quickly without asking, outdoor pool perfect. In the corridors, the decoration is great if you don't notice the trolley with all the cleaning products and toilet paper in front of your room at all times. The welcome drink, we offer you a peach iced tea or a lime green iced tea, we choose four peach teas, we get 4 lime green teas, we are not angry with the lime green teas but angry with them staff communication about what is in stock and what is not. For breakfast, it is exceptional! The quantities are very generous, full of small pastries, brioches with praline nuts, cookies, chocolate fondants, eggs in all styles, quality cold meats and cheeses (+ the early morning setting which puts you in a very good mood), given the sublime service of this breakfast, take away the extra squeezed orange juice of €9 on the menu, how is it possible that squeezed orange juice is not included in the formula? And I also agree with another customer's comment on the chicken's agreement to make the eggs? The sympathy of the staff made us forget all the little faults but by going to a 5-star hotel which has a certain price, we expect services up to the number of stars. The incomparable is ultimately comparable with a 4-star hotel. However, the setting is very present for a 5 star.

Almost perfect, charming staff but lack of management. At the reception the friendliness of the staff gives you the feel of being really welcome. The location of the hotel couldn’t be better offering a stunning view. The renovated rooms in the elegant building are comfortable. The Spa is also very good. Overall the hotel could be one of the best but unfortunately it does not meet the level which someone expects in this price category. The (invisible) management seems to be part of an investment company lacking even the basics of the Hotel and Restauration business. We could list a lot of details but won’t bore you with that. The friendliness of the staff compensates to a great extend the lack of management and training. Further we booked for 2 nights and weren’t aware that the hotel seems to be concentrating on short term bookings only. We enjoyed the „menu de degustation“ very much but didn’t feel like eating the same (4 or 6 course) dinner the next day again. The only alternative was „something in the room“. It’s not possible to eat anything else on the terrace/restaurant. The bistro was closed. A rather strange concept. We also recommend to ask for a table on the wonderful terrace in front of the house and definitely not in front of the very loud and annoying ventilation system of the house. These 3 tables should be only given to elderly guests who can switch off their hearing aid…;-) With the help of an international hotel manager this hotel could be converted very quickly into one of t h e addresses around the lake.

Very difficult ! We are used to staying in 5 star establishments and honestly I don't really understand, certainly the nice setting, the room my god the room! This room is offered to you under the name cozy, if you want to experience a maid's room you are here, if your husband is 1.80 m tall he will have a quarter of the room at his height, very little storage no room to put suitcases, which will therefore remain on the floor, not to mention the non-existent light I save the best for last the room is not soundproof!! You will be able to hear the antics of your neighbors, you will also have the option of the magnificent alternating and incessant sound of engines that will not let you sleep! As for the restaurant, you will have to be very patient! If you pay attention to the situation you can see a disorganized service under negative pressure and many customers who leave one after the other without taking cheese and desserts and yes we are talking about a 5 star and when at the end of our stay we pass on the information, we have a young girl who tells us that we should have specified when booking that my husband was tall and that we did not want to be on the second floor! Do you need psychic talent to choose this establishment, I have never specified such things in a 5 star hotel, next time I will specify that I do not want to share with the neighbors that I want a room for humans without l night engine option! I see your response coming with a sorry for the exceptional nature of the situation, honestly you will not be credible! what a pity

The hotel is very beautiful. Too bad the service is not there! We are far from the standards of luxury hotels both in anticipation and service. Even our remarks are taken from good advice…. It’s up to you, dear customers, to ask that breakfast be served, to ensure that there is bread and fruit juice….. We believe that the essence of luxury hotels is to anticipate and ensure that we are attentive! We left without having been able to have dinner (the reservation policy does not provide for a table when you reserve a room even if you request dinner…. No alternative will be offered) and nor even finally without breakfast (apart from a coffee and an omelette ) . Note that even a nice little email from us to provide feedback is followed by a most unpleasant response: we should have asked to be served properly!!!

Hotel with magnificent views, with infrastructure worthy of a luxury hotel. For the rest, my experience is very, very mixed, and the price charged does not reflect the quality of a 5 star. No help unloading luggage, the hotel is very poorly soundproofed (very complicated night with a room with 4 young men who party all evening), breakfast very good but very light, you have to eat in your room if you does not want to dine at the gourmet restaurant (or at the end of the terrace with a 15 month old child) ultra chlorinated spa, no restocking in the room (coffee, juice.....). the list is long for a 5 star hotel. I will not return and I do not recommend the hotel given the prices, despite the excellent view. Priority is given to the restaurant, even though it is a hotel restaurant. Serving 37 seats on a Saturday evening in a Michelin-starred restaurant with so few staff seems complicated to me. Finally, a little advice, don't forget your things, we won't give them back to you.

Sunday brunch. The quality and selection of food are perfect (oysters, lobsters, etc.). On the other hand, there was a big problem with the service with a sommelier or head waiter who had absolutely nothing to do in such an establishment and who was still recovering from his Saturday evening. Pathetic. His attitude was inappropriate and even embarrassing. Nothing to do with a so-called 1 Michelin star. EUR 69.- per person for this brunch whose service was not at all up to par. This spoils the setting, the good food and the work of other employees.

Idyllic place for a family stay, we were in the apartment with the studio in a connecting room. Ideal for dinner and putting the children to bed! Small downsides on the choice of restaurants and prices sometimes inconsistent with the service.

What an exceptional stay in this establishment in the perfect location. The room with cozy comfort, the magnificent park, the living room with careful decoration, the terrace with a breathtaking view of Lake Bourget. We unreservedly appreciated the availability, thoughtfulness and professionalism of all the staff, from room service to restaurant service, including a most pleasant reception. Each request is handled with maximum care and commitment to customer satisfaction. All with simplicity and conviviality, in perfect balance. And what can we say about the restaurant, with cuisine so incredible that it offers a taste journey rich in emotions: delicate flavors, impactful combinations, the meal is experienced like a rollercoaster. A real pleasure to be able to congratulate, and above all thank, chef Antoine CEVOZ at the start, for this exceptional moment that we had the pleasure and privilege of experiencing. We will return with immense pleasure to spend a stay in this establishment, in which elegance is carried by everyone, with discretion and delicacy.

We booked the suite overlooking the lake for our 20th wedding anniversary, which was quite expensive but what we thought would be worth the splurge. When we arrived, we were told that there were no available tables for dinner that evening. This surprised us because from our experience, hotels of this status usually hold tables for hotel guests or at the very least warn that the table should be reserved when you book. Disappointed but flexible, we asked if we could then cancel our breakfast reservation and instead reserve for lunch. A very kind receptionist found this logical, but needed to clear it with her manager. The next day we went to speak to the maître d'hôtel. She refused to change our breakfast (which ended in 10 minutes) to a lunch reservation, even though we obviously would have paid much more for a lunch than breakfast. She had a snobby and condescending attitude. She said that she could not change what we had scheduled at our booking, although we had booked directly with L'Incomparable! So our 20th wedding anniversary was celebrated in a basic restaurant in the city (all other good possibilities were unavailable last minute) and we paid for a breakfast that we didn't get. Disgusted with the maître d'hôtel (the rest of the staff was lovely), we got out of there instead of staying for lunch. A pity as I was ready to recommend the hotel to many of my Geneva friends, and to come back ourselves from time to time as it is only an hour away.
