My husband, 7 year old son & myself recently stayed at Namatakula Village & were warmly welcomed by Tupou, Isoa, Rosa, Naomi & their wide extended family into their home. We wanted to experience true authentic Fiji & we weren't disappointed. My son absolutely loved it as he played all day & all night with all the kids, waded through...

Very belated review here as I visited Danny's in 2015, but my visit was fantastic and I highly recommend it. Easy to access from the Queens Road bus, the friendliness and hospitality was wonderful. I was very fortunate in that there was a village wedding during my visit which I was welcomed to attend which was incredibly generous of the...

Travelled to Namatakula Village Homestay in Oct16 and had a memorable 5 day family experience. We were welcomed by Tupou and her family with friendly faces and treated like long lost relatives for the whole time. So much to do whilst there - walk to beach, memorable school visit, bus trip to markets, walk to farmlands to pick foods for...

All those cliches of real Fiji are true here at Danny's. Village kids greeting you with wide smiles and "bula !!!", women wading onto the reef to catch octopus, kids crushing leaves ( Fijian medicine ) for bleeding cuts, rafts strung together with rope made from bark. Our kids had some of the best days of their lives here -...

Have just had a fabulous 5 night stay at Danny's Homestay in namatakula (2nd-6th September)! All the reviews below are very accurate on how brillant our two hosts Sake and Tupou were - such warm, lovely and generous people. As a solo traveller I couldn't have felt more at home in their cosy home and they made me feel like...

We had an amazing visit with Saki and Topou. We are a family of 4 (kids 9 and 7) and stayed at Danny's Homestay for 2 nights. The kids had an absolutely blast playing with kids from the village. When we returned home, they told everyone that their favorite part of our 3 week trip was Danny's Homestay. They loved...

As background, I had changed my arrival date twice and, at the last minute, emailed that I could not come, because of work, on the first night that I was to arrive. So I was nervous. The bus from Suva dropped me off about two hours earlier than I had told Tuvou and Sate to (finally) expect me. I started...

Danny's homestay was the perfect place for me to become immersed in village life. Arriving in Fiji, I was faced with expensive resorts with no culture, but I knew there must be another option. I found out about the homestay on trip advisor and word of mouth from other adventurous travellers. So I jumped on a bus from nadi and...

I have been backpacking around Fiji for a while and stumbled upon this great homestay which was ideal. Saki and Tupou are lovely and will bend over backwards to make your stay worthwhile. The rooms are perfect and the sea extremely close so you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. There is plenty to do here as...

As a current guest at Dannys homestay I can only say that the experience has been truly memorable! From the first day I got here I have felt part of the family and at home. Sake and Toupo are amazing hosts and willing to accomodate everything within their ability. I had an amazing opportunity to travel with Toupo to her...

Activities available include horse riding, canoeing, massage, fishing and tours (Sigatoka market, village, school, waterfalls, etc).
