stayed there for two days when we went to a wedding at Olive Rock this weekend. Beautiful old vintage music plays in the background which takes you back in time. Their breakfasts are outstanding as well. The place is run by stunning owner Karien and all her staff really go the extra mile

Whilst I disnt stay at the hotel many of our wedding guests did. I joined them for breakfast on one day and lunch on the next. Whilst seemingingly quite rustic and basic, my friends said the bedrooms were more than adequate and well kept. My first hand experience of the restaurant/bistro is that the food was excellent.

What a lovely location. Unfortunately our room was on top of the restaurant and we had to share a tiny, not clean bathroom (took photo's) with another couple in the bigger room next door. We had only one key as we had to pass through the reception/restaurant to get back to our rooms that night, so both couples had to...

Friendly greeting. Inviting fire place on a chilly evening. High beams and exposed brickwork. A place you want to enjoy. And the food was good enough - we had burgers, one chicken and one beef - but you'll remember what the place looked like rather than what the food tasted like.

We did Winterberg for lunch. Beautiful setting. We sat inside and we're thankful for the lovely cozy fireplace inside. We had homemade lavender infused lemonade and craft Belgium beer for drinks. Our daughter had the Sunday set 3 course lunch, the other one had a pizza . I had the springbok pie and my spouse the curry. Altogether delicious, value...

We own a farm in the area and used to frequent this venue often when it was previously known as the Mill & Oaks under different owners. Unfortunately it was sold and since then has never been the same. On the three occasions we have been we have waited for over and hour for food. We went this past weekend...

Dear Jivlenn Thanks for your feedback. You will recollect that you were here on a so called snow-day, meaning our area was literally flooded with visitors looking for some fun in the snow. During these 'snow days' mistakes are unfortunately sometimes made. We pride ourselves on our food, service and hospitality and have done so since we bought the property...

words don't do justice, it must be experienced. the atmosphere, the aromas of great food, the taste that brings back memories. the friendly relaxed setting, where the owners dogs run around and wag tails as to greet you. although we were on training and made use of the conference facility, we did look at bedrooms, and rates are fair with...

During our day trip around Ceres and surrounding we stopped over for lunch at Winterberg mountain Inn. I had a pizza which was very delicious and my fiancé had a burger which was excellent. The service as a bit slow at times even though the restaurant wasn't full. Definitely a good place to stop over for lunch.

We cycled from Robertson to Ceres and needed a lunch stop. I new this place was just before the Mitchels Pass and Ceres. We had good service for lunch with a freshly made smoked chicken salad and the taisty home made lemonade. The restaurant main building was nicely decorated and welcoming. Many thanks to the team behind the scenes. We...

We stayed in a room on top of the restaurant. We knew we had to share a very small bathroom, but the room was not up to standard. The sealing pulled apart from the wall and it had water marks from a leaking roof. The curtains were sun filter and white and not enough to cover all the windows. The...

Dear Jack Thanks goodness you say 'never again'. It was an absolute pleasure to refund you for the extra night. Because we absolutely cherish this 'happy space' of ours (for which we have worked and are still working very hard for), we really don't mind NOT sharing it with negativity and pessimism. In the three years we've been operating as...
