I used to live locally and went to this pub when it was small and dark. On a recent visit I was told that it had been refurbished. The difference is immense. The main bar is now open, light and very tastefully decorated. The service is warm and friendly, the menu is local and imaginative and the cooking superb. I...

I only booked for 1 night, thank goodness. While the room was a good size, and the bed comfortable, there was no wardrobe, the toilet seat needed fixing, and the automatic lighting system in the bathroom was annoying. The furniture and decor was very twee, throughout the place, with the bathroom cupboard door being held shut by way of folded...

Although we are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay as this is obviously the object of the exercise, we do feel we need to address some off your unfair comments as they are totally false. Yes I am sure you can find other hotels cheaper but for the quality of the room you were given, the facilities we...

Thank you for leaving your wonderful review, its great to know you enjoyed your stay with us. Unfortunately you did stay in our smallest room which as you say is lovely but not the biggest space, so maybe next time we could give you one of our bigger rooms to try which i'm sure you will love. We look forward...

Went here for dinner with a group of five and was greeted very promptly and seated on a suitable table. The food was amazing I had the castle burger and it was huge the burger itself was two fingers thick but still not tough. Service was also lovely very friendly

Also had a box of things incase you forgot anything which was a really nice touch! We had dinner and breakfast and both where fantastic! Portions where huge...

We booked the hotel to attend the BTCC at Brands. It was a stones throw away from the track which meant no long journey on race day. The room was beautiful and very rustic shabby chic, the only tiny issue was that when showering the automatic light would switch off meaning you had to flap around to try and get...

We have previously had a family gathering for lunch here before and everyone thought the food and staff were excellent, also my husband and I have been there several times for meals and have recommended The Castle. Today was a different matter, I was told when I booked the meal that there was a large booking for that evening and...
