You can't come to Uganda and not chimp trek and if you do this is the place to stay. The food was excellent. The forest walks resulted in multiple monkey sightings and the whole staff were super friendly. Particularly enjoyed relaxing around the fire of an evening.

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Uganda that included 2 night stay at the Primate Lodge (March 5 and 6, 2015). The Lodge is a wonderful tented facility within a 2 minute walk to the chimpanzee trekking station in Kibale forest.. The rooms are large, private and spaced well away from each other. The location and delicious food...

I've stayed at Primate Lodge Kibale during two separate trips to Uganda (2009 and 2013), and it has lived up to its name both times. It is the ultimate place to stay if you want an immersive, yet accessible rain forest experience complete with many primate sightings. Most recently we saw a fleeting glimpse of a chimpanzee cross the road,...

It may take a long and dusty drive to get here but it is certainly worth it! The lodge consists of open terraces in a half circle with a central area where song and dance performances can take place by local young people in the evening. The accommodation is in individual round houses with their own shower and toilet. The...

Set deep in the Kibale Forest, Primate Lodge offers very comfortable and luxurious safari tents. Our visit in April 2014 may have preceded current construction, but we were impressed with the comfortable amenities and close proximity to chimp trekking. Our meals were above expectations - excellent ratatouille and tilapia curry at dinner and very hearty breakfasts. Due to the ebola...

We stayed here (like many people) to head out on a chimp trek. The impression when you first arrive is average; it looked a bit older and less exciting than at some other places we stayed on this trip, but the location is excellent; very close to the start of the chimp trek and well into the jungle. We went...

In general I really liked this place - it has potential - except for a few things. It is even difficult to explain. I was traveling with a friend who wanted to stay in the tree house, which was arranged. I decided to take a cabin. We arrived a little early and was told that the treehouse wasn't ready as...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing your comments about your stay at the lodge. i really liked my stay in tent 4 Tinker Bird, it was a long way from the reception but after a bit I got used to that. The room/tent was very spacious and I had everything I needed although a little more attention to detail is required for a stay as expensive as this. The most disappointing was the food...

we stayed 2 nights in January 2015. 'The tents' were superb each set in their own little garden and you are surrounded by forest. They are powered by solar however the lighting was really good and the time power was available was more than adequate. Dear Guest, Thank you for visiting Primate Lodge Kibale and taking time to review our lodge. We do agree we are strategically located right in the forest and are glad you enjoyed your stay in the superior tents as well. While we do love the tents as well, unfortunately maintaining a tented camp right in the middle of a rainforest...

Far more spacious and airy, with luxurious bathrooms, really huge glass windows and full size glass paneled sliding doors- they let in a lot of natural light and affording 180 degree views of the beautiful rainforest surroundings from your bed. Our seven mid-level forest cottages are en-suite with spacious bathrooms, 2x twin size beds or 1x king size bed, lounge chairs and a spacious verandah overlooking the rainforest. For our adventurous guests, we offer a secluded Sky Tree House (not self-contained) about 200m deep in the forest.
