Detailed Reviews
If i was going to camp there again i would have to get lakeside. They tried to put us in 23 or 3 for our third night, no thanks. The lake front sites are amazing. thr kettle valley trail is right there and amazing to ride on. I cant give the front desk staff a good review, try not to deal with them much because they can ruin your stay.

About 5 years ago we took our relatively new rv and decided to stay in an area close to home for our first trip we stayed at Banbury Green for the weekend. We had a very good time, it was relaxing and the site we had was dan by the water. We toured the immediate area as we were not familiar with it though we lived about 5 miles or less away. I think everyone should try staying close to home, it's amazing what you find in your own area!

We stayed 2 nights in the full hookup area. These are extremely close together. The pitches are very uneven, not long and the facilities in difficult positions. We had to run the electric/water underneath to the other side of our trailer but fortunately we had extra to attach. The sewer was right next to next door's mat. It felt awful to use it!
There was loud music from a trailer further along until very late ( midnight) , I'm not sure if anyone polices this.
We didn't use showers etc.
There are fire pits but not enough for each site, maybe 1 per 2-3 sites. But they are by the water with lovely views.
The KVR goes right in front which is nice for an easy, scenic walk or cycle.
We didn't like sending credit cards by email. Campgrounds in general need to sort out secure on line booking.

...we've tried to stay here three times (off season) and each time, it's the same story: "No sites available until tomorrow"
Getting into this place with a travel trailer is an experience in its own; you must come from Penticton and cross the highway against traffic to access the road. It is incredibly steep and narrow...pray that nobody is coming from the other direction.
We've passed thru while travelling the KVR, and it seems like a pretty little campground, but after three tries, I give up.
I realize that we could make reservations, but when you travel off-season and mid-week, you'd think something would be available.

I stayed there for couple of nights. every night there was a power outages. They have a second income from charging people fines under various pretexts. Also the manager is rude and very disrespectful with the customers. And all sites dust and very close to each site it’s terrible campground

We called the park and specifically said we want to book site 59 because we wanted to stay beside my friend`s site (60). We got the confirmation email for site 59. However, when we arrived we were told that we need to stay at site 57. No one gave us a heads up call or email to let us know the change. We complained about the sudden change but the staff and manager were very impatient and rude. We even didn`t get a sorry from them. I`ve never encountered this issue with the provincial park`s campsites. Other than that, The campsites there were very small and close with neighbors so we can hear neighbors' talking at midnight even though they have lower their voice down. There are only two washing room so in the morning it had a long line up. The bathroom/washing rooming are very old and not clean (very smelly). In general this place doesn`t worth the price. The only thing good is the lake view.

We liked it so much we were lucky enough to tack on an extra day. It is a beautiful scenic campground and the staff were very nice. For an Rv park I thought the sites were spaced well. We have stayed in alot more cramped rv parks. The facilities are a bit older but functional and very clean. Showers are nice, hot and free which was very appreciated. We hope to return next year, so everyone else don't ever book here, leave it for us. Haha.
Seriously love this park!

My husband and I are local to the Okanagan and so decided to drive down to Banbury to check out the sites and inquire about reserving something during the summer. Looks nice, and right on the lake. Well we experienced the rudest and most condescending woman of our lives. She would barely talk to us, and when she did it was as if she was a stern official in a prison or something. She cut us off in the middle of any inquiry so we didn't even get to really finish any sentence. Her so called response was pretty much always 'no' or 'nothing available'. We asked about next year and her response was a short, rude "I doubt it". I then asked if we could call or email to see about any cancellations. Again she responded rudely and said "You can if you want, but I doubt it will make a difference". I then asked if there is a waiting list. Again she rudely and abruptly just said "no". I kept on, and asked her if there is any chance of ever getting making a reservation by some means, even two years from now. Of course at this point I'm hoping she isn't around in two years. She said " I doubt it....it's always taken by regulars first, but take a brochure if you want", at which point we were actually escorted to the door, and then rudely told to make sure we drive slow out of there. My husband and I were just stunned by this time. We really didn't know this type of rudeness actually existed except maybe in the movies. I also have to say that we are extremely friendly people, and we were being extra friendly with her in hopes of smoothing things over just in case we upset her for some unknown reason. I should have mentioned in the beginning that when we walked into the office, it was rather dark, it was mid-afternoon, and the only light was coming though a small window. We thought we were alone, but at the back was this woman sitting behind a desk, facing us and wearing dark sunglasses. She scared the jeepers out of us when we finally noticed her. We were the first to say "hello". Why didn't she greet us when we walked in? Creeper out and unnerving from the beginning but we both shook it off initially, again thinking we may have startled her too. After our continued encounter with her, it did become apparent that all is not right there. We're glad we didn't get a reservation, and we can only hope there is other staff that treats the customers better, and make up for the one we encountered. Wow, I still feel somewhat disturbed by the encounter with her..I can't help but wonder if it was just us, but I doubt it.

It is a beautiful campsite, but might not be your cup of tea if you like it quiet at night. When we stayed, the people across from us drank and had loud music blaring well past midnight. No one seems to patroll the campsite to let people know to keep it down after the quite time.

A couple years ago my family and I stumbled across this wonderful little campsite right on skaha lake. Great service great site. I book to come out this year and found us in the worse possible site there. They must have changed owners or something. The woman in charge was absoluty rude. Condescended me and insulted me when I asked to be moved. Or just leave. They were gonna charge me 150$ for the night even tho I was very unhappy where we were. We sucked it up. To top it all off we were across from the "BIG HOUSE" the old lady there called my 2 year old son a "wart" for trying to feed the ducks some cereal. I will never return to this campground ever. I will never recommend this campground to anybody again. I really don't care where I camp as long as service is great and I am respected. There we were not. Never again.
