We stayed two nights. The Inn is spotless with wonderful decor. Alf and Bonnie couldn't have been more accommodating. The breakfast was yummy and plentiful; you won't need lunch! We stayed in the River Room which has a lovely view but all of the rooms are lovely.

My husband and I stayed at the Old Riverside Lodge in Musquodoboit Harbour in August, 2016. Connie and Alfred were superb hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxed. The accommodations were very clean, breakfast was wonderful and the home was spectacular. If we had the time to stay a week, we would have...

Alf and Connie are very welcoming host and hostess. The lodge is located on a river, but unfortunately due to a very dry summer, the water was very low. We were given several suggestions for dinner and their suggestions were perfect. The rooms are very bright and airy and provided a restful first nights sleep in Nova Scotia. The lodge...

We saved the best for last as it turned out! This was our last stop on our 3 week Maritime vacation. Alf and Connie were wonderful hosts making us feel right at home. Their home has a French Country feel, tons of interesting pieces of art work. It is situated on a beautiful, serene property by the river. Breakfast was...

My mother and I recently returned from an inaugural trip to Nova Scotia. We had several lodging experiences that were enjoyable, and some that were disappointing. Our stay at Old Riverside was exceptional. Connie and Alf were warm and attentive, providing services that were timely and unexpected. It was obvious they love their vocation. The house was in perfect order,...

We had a night here in the Blue Room. It was beautifully furnished and was a lovely bright room with several windows. There are 2 shared sitting areas which are also conmfortable spaces as is the lovely verandah.

We stayed at The Old Riverside Lodge for our first night in Nova Scotia, and as a result, our (18) day trip got off to a great start. This B&B is a hidden gem in a lovely rural setting and we had a wonderful experience there. Alf and Connie are the nicest people and they did everything they could during...

Absolutely wonderful & accommodating hosts! They went above and beyond the call of duty and did not have a problem with our 8:30 pm arrival The room was spacious, lovely, very clean & comfortable. Nice big comfy queen bed. Breakfast was delicious! Quiet location just beyond Halifax and near an ocean beach.

After 3 weeks of touring & lots of great b&b's this was my favourite of them all. Wonderful house, full of character and immaculate. Bedrooms are very large & comfortable with everything you could possibly need to make your stay enjoyable, bottled waters, bathrobes, fan etc Home cooked breakfasts were delicious and the dining room has super views over the...

Truly a quiet haven with fabulous breakfasts. Great bed and great sheets. And gracious hosts! They provided early coffee and there are local trails for strolling. Will recommend to anyone looking for peace, quiet and a great beach near-by.
