My son and I stayed at St Andrews Escape as part of a three day self-guided cycle trip arranged by Napier-based Takaro Trails. What a special place. Just out of town, this modern, beautifully styled, up-market B&B made us so welcome we didn't want to leave. Peaceful and set in an orchard and lovely gardens, with views to the lake...

This lodge is a very pleasant hidden gem, equidistant between Havelock North and Hastings. We had a fabulous weekend here with our US friends in mid January and as Kiwis we were proud to share time at a place which is the equal of any in the world. Very fine breakfast was served in the courtyard with great attention to...

This is by far one of the best places in NZ to stay and relax. Such beautiful gardens, accommodation & people. Every detail was perfect. The attention to detail was impeccable. John (host) is very accommodating and approachable. We will be telling all our friends and will be back as soon as possible. We were gutted we only stayed two...

This was a special weekend for us, so were delighted with St Andrews Escape from the time of our arrival. We were warmly greeted by one of the owners John, who showed us all over their garden, our super room, and all the facilities, which are excellent. The breakfasts were delicious and we looked forward to them daily. The property...

Quiet and peaceful garden setting for a relaxing escape. Friendly service, great breakfast outside in the garden. Rooms all have their own theme. We stayed in the Pacific room and friends stayed in the retro 1960s room. Spa pool, WiFi. Definitely worth a visit, we will go again.

We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of the new year and had a wonderful time. When we arrived I wasn't feeling well but John, our host, was very gracious and accommodating and made every effort to look after us and we loved the personal tour on arrival. The setting is beautiful, the gardens incredible and breakfast, complete with...

What a lovely escape we had! Regrettably for only one night but the property, rooms breakfast, lounge area and attention to detail was wonderfully received. The layout was peaceful, a hidden away gem with manicured gardens, walkways, statues and quirky chairs dotted throughout the pathways and around the lake. What a lovely welcome we received from John (host) who was...

We stayed at St Andrews Escape for four days over the New Year period of 2016/17 . When we arrived we were met by our host John who took us on a tour of the property and shared some of the history with us. The property is beautiful, with hidden gardens and ponds and plenty of places to just chill...

I cannot begin to describe how perfect this accommodation is. We were absolutely blown away at how neat, manicured and perfect the whole experience was. Not only are the gardens pristine but there is so much attention to detail - really enjoyed a our stay and wished we spent more than the one night. Would highly recommend this to anyone...
