The Tahoe Tropicana Lodge was bulldozed away several years ago as part of a redevelopment plan. It no longer exists. The last time I saw the property it was an eerie plot of land studded with I-beams protruding from the soil. That was in 2008...More

The pool was really cold and dirty, the spa was ice cold over the 4th of July, the carpets were filthy and smelled really bad, the showers needed grout, the air conditioner was so loud we had to turn it off to talk, no screens...More

I paid $75 per night for a supposedly 2.5 star hotel. The rooms and office were worn-out and run-down. The 70s carpet was dingy and dirty-looking. The paint is old and scratched. The furniture is old, worn and scratched. The bathrooms need serious updating to...More
