Cannot fault the Tigh Na Mara in Sandhead whichever side you visit - we usually do both over a week! pub side or the amazing food in the restaurant. HIGHLY recommend it. Never had a bad meal. Staff always very helpful again in both sides - restaurant or pub. VERY friendly locals VERY

We booked a table via email on Thursday 17th September and detailed one of our party's food intolerances. We recieved a prompt reply and assurance that the menu could be adapted to suit. We were made very welcome on our arrival and the manager - Neil - came to our table and very discretely and with a huge amount of...

We booked the 'Cabin' room for a night. The cabin was a cosy room with en-suite facility and found towards the rear of the restaurant in one corner of the car park area. The area itself was quite and the cabin being away from the restaurant and the main road made it even more quite. But its not the usual...

Friendly staff very helpful, clean room tea and coffee facilities tourist information packs in the room for those not familiar with the area. Excellent food as breakfast was included, you could tailor your food to what you liked, very good value for money. We had the back cottage the internet did not reach there but was available in the dining...

Went there to celebrate my wife Anne's birthday. Very happy with the quality of the food, and the value for money. Staff were very friendly, and knowledgable, and made our experience even better. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Arrived the 28th July for a 5 night stay. Again, the stay was perfect, Neil and his staff can't do enough for you. My room was clean and warm, with the breakfast well worth getting up for - setting you up for the day. Hopefully see you the same time next year.

This was the second time of staying at Tigh Na Mara and overall our stay was very enjoyable. The food both at breakfast and on the nights we chose to dine at the hotel was very good, with an excellent choice and flexibility with breakfast menu. Our disappointment was with the room which was a very small twin, and quite...

My husband and I went for a meal here yesterday after reading very positive reviews but we wish we hadn't bothered. I had pre-booked a table as they were very busy but when we got there we sat in the lounge area and had our order taken, then waited to be taken to our table for nearly half an hour....

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner while holidaying in the area. We have often eaten at The Tigh Na in the past but had a couple of disappointments last year when we felt standards had slipped. It's now back to its' usual high standard. The quality and presentation was lovely. My crab starter and sea bass main was...

We've eaten at the tigh na Mara many times over the last 12 years since the current owners took over. Popped in for Sunday tea, and as usual the food was faultless. Restaurant was pretty busy, as was the public bar. Seafood pancake was excellent as were the butterscotch profiteroles. Early bird menu (before 6.30) is worth coming early for,...
