To receive such welcoming and professional service during difficult COVID times is amazing! Thank you Chelsea for being so great at what you do. Accommodation and dining are spectacular! And in such a great setting with local exploring. I am wowed.
Let me start by saying I read the neg reviews....and I honestly have no idea what the complaints are about! My hubby and I spent 2 nights in a lakeview chalet. The extra $ spent for the upgrade is totally worth it! We loved the view, fireplace, and the chalet was clean(no mold or hair, I was expecting a few seeing as they allow dogs in our cabin!) They have a fridge with freezer that worked well. It kept my dogs raw bone frozen, and our drinks nice and cool:) The fireplace was lovely! We didn't turn on the blower to the fireplace as it was really loud.... but it still heated the chalet nicely without it on. There are 2 bedrooms... one in the loft and the other on the main floor. We slept in the loft the first night.... and the main floor the second. We would of kept sleeping in the loft... but it gets quite warm up there and we needed a cooler spot to get a good night's sleep. The main floor room is cooler:) Both beds were comfy! They had more than enough towels there for our stay. They also had shampoo, natural soap, and makeup removal cloths in the bathroom:) When we arrived there was a dog bag just for our pooch!! It had 2 bowls, a couple of treats, dog towel, a dog bed(Its good for a small dog around 15 lbs..... my 100 lb dog was much to big for it! We brought his bed anyways so it was ok), Dog poop bags, and furniture covers. I loved that he had his own stuff just for him! We had a couples massage at the spa. Trinity and (i can't remember the girls name who massaged my hubby! Sorry!!) were both great! They tailored my hubbies massage as hes kinda picky.... lol. We left there feeling relaxed... and took a nap! For meals.... oh boy the food was good:) we had prime rib the first night... second night we had salmon and stuffed chicken. They are spreading out the reservations at dinner so the dining room was never full. At the most there was 4 couples at the same time. But the dinning area is huge so theres plenty of space. Breakfast you can come in when you like. Sunday was a buffet. They had reg stuff, bacon, eggs, sausage pancakes ect. They served you at the buffet. And monday we had a menu. We were able to tailor the food...for instance I was able to get eggs with my french toast added np! Millie was our waitress most of the time. She was absolutly lovely! We could ask her anything and it was never a problem:) The grounds are gorgeous!! We took a short hike on the trail and let the dog jump in the lake for a nice swim. He loved it! We would of done a whole trail...but we were beat from just having done a massage...the next day it rained...oh well..next time! As for entertainment, theres not much there. They do have dvd's you can watch in your room. They also have wifi for guests, but its pretty slow. I hotspoted my phone to my tablet and that worked well. You might want to download some movies on a streaming site before you go. They dont have any store on site. So if you want munchies during your stay you either bring them with you, or there is a store about a 10 min drive in port sydney. Overall it was a lovely stay. We will be back again when we need another weekend away!!…
Where to start.... The property is beautiful. Gorgeous lake which we took a canoe and paddle boat out on. 2 Hiking trails on site - amazing scenery. While hiking we came across deer and other critters- amazing! The food is quite good- in particular the dinners. The dinner service is fantastic- Milli works very hard with her team to ensure things are just right and we even got to enjoy Thanksgiving special meals while we were there. All staff we encountered- from the guy raking the beach who joked around and was super friendly to the desk staff and wait staff- all incredibly friendly. The only downside would be the breakfast. There was no bacon or meat ready and the cook would make a small portion and bring it out- but with so many people waiting on it- frustration was setting in. Heard grumbling. We were in the newly renovated cabin which was lovely. As a special treat, Milli allowed us to stay after dinner in the TV lounge to watch NBA finals. After watching the entire season it meant a lot to us to be able to watch the last 2 games together there- much appreciate her hospitality. We can't wait to return.…
My husband and I stayed for one night on a package that included dinner and breakfast. Our cottage was simple and a little retro but the bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed the gas fireplace. We enjoyed a hike before dinner. The restaurant was a highlight. Lovely ambiance, friendly service and top notch food! Seriously the food could not have been better. This package was great value and we will return. So pretty and quiet. Definitely COVID safe.
