Just one night here as a birthday treat and as recommended by discerning friends. Not disappointed. It's not shabby chic, it's not unadulterated luxury, it's well appointed and ol' fashion comfortable. Log fires, old and new furniture mix, stone mullion windows and wooden stair cases to rooms above. Exceptional rural, hillside, south facing setting looking down to the Tamar with...

We stayed for a few nights over the New Year. We were four couples, and three dogs and we all thoroughly enjoyed the Hotel Endsleigh. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming and calm. The house is so impressive, Grade 1 listed and designed by the architect who designed Windsor Castle I believe. It's obviously lovingly looked after. We enjoyed daily walks...

This was our first visit and we were impressed. The hotel is an interesting old building set in beautiful grounds. We were well looked after. Excellent food, excellent service. Hoping to visit again in the not too distant future.

Endsleigh is one of the most beautiful country hotels in the land. Stylish and elegant, no room is like the other. Each one has its own personal design and feel. Homely and cozy and very personal. Dog friendly and ideal for lunch stop overs, long weekends or romantic dinners. Play cricket on the extensive lawns or have a fizz on...

Booked lunch special yesterday with a group of friends. Spectcacular drive across the moors and the day was further enhanced by the beautiful Hotel Endsleigh; the service was second to none, the food was delicious - every single morsel - the ambience was warm and calm and then a short walk in the beautiful gardens. A perfect day out -

We visited Hotel Endsleigh as guests of a friend who had arranged an afternoon tea there as a treat. It is simply sumptuous. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted by a member of staff, who, upon discovering the reason for our visit, immediately offered us a private room overlooking the gardens. What an experience. Nothing was too...

Had the set menu, really exceeded expectations. All the staff were warm and friendly, food was beautifully prepared and presented and even the chef came out to say hello. We have been a few times before, but this time was really special and left me feeling very spoilt. Thanks to all concerned.

Fundamentally a great hotel that could be even greater if the management paid more attention to training the staff in competence as well as charm. First the good points: - Spectacular setting with fantastic grounds, even in December - Elegant hotel with a lot of history and spacious and comfortable rooms - Charming staff who try to respond to any...

A great hotel, friendly staff and also dog friendly too. The hotel is a great place to stay for a relaxing stay and also the grounds are superb. My only niggle and I am being picky is the room service was slower than I'd expect, however you really can't fault the Endsleigh or their staff. Other hotels should take note!...
