A few friends and I had made a reservation at Hotel Endsleigh for a late afternoon tea as part of a weekend break we were having in Devon. We arrived a bit earlier as we wanted to take a walk around the grounds. The staff provided us with a mini guide of the Garden trail that goes round the grounds...

Stayed here for a surprise special birthday celebration. The hotel is located in a beautiful Devon valley on the western slopes of Dartmoor. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon and drove down a long and beautifully maintained drive. The drive was alive with pheasants - beautiful birds who had very little road sense. We had booked the lodge...

My sister and brother booked a birthday tea with 15 members of our family for my 80th birthday. The very special staff made it a wonderful day. The meal was lovely and our young man, I think his name was Jonathan, was so attentive right to our driving away. He took photos for us and asked as we were leaving...

Great unspoilt scenary and gardens looking over the river Tamar. Fantastic breakfast, fresh local foods. Cheese platter featuring local made cheeses was amazing. Warm friendly staff. Take a satnav to find the hotel, especially if you arrive in the dark!

We stayed at the Endsleigh as guests of a friend celebrating his 60th birthday. From the afternoon tea on arrival, to the canapés and two private dinners, the service and the whole experience was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We were in the gatehouse which is a self contained cottage at the...

Arrived Saturday evening and checked into room in stables. Nice downstairs area and upstairs bedroom BUT a number of black flies in bedroom(killed three before dinner but two more buzzing around at bed time), no hot water as the geyser was not switched on so no bath! Staff generally lovely and willing (over willing to extent of asking but not...

Elegant country hotel set in acres of woodland and grounds. Perfect location for our daughters wedding. We were made very welcome by the staff who could not do enough for us. Our rooms were beautifully furnished to a high spec and extremly comfortable. The meals were superb with plenty off variety to suit all our tastes. We enjoyed the comfortable...

Built in 1810 as a fishing lodge for the Dukes of Bedford, Endsleigh still retains the magical Gothic atmosphere created by its designer, the sixth Duke's second wife Georgiana. The vast gardens are now as well kept as they were when they were first planted, thanks to "The Hotel Inspector" (!) and owner of Endsleigh. It lies in the most...

We decided at short notice to book dinner and the restaurant was full so they kindly set up a table in the library. We arrived and received first class service. The staff were charming and professional. I ordered lamb and my wife cod. The food was superb and ranks as one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed in...

I found at Endsleigh hotel one of the best location for garden lovers. The place is bursting with green, and the listed gardens' fame is abosutely deserved. The whole place is quite magical, the interiors immediately make you feel at home and the service is excellent. Our room (Repton room 4) was wonderful although the bathroom, which was once the...
