Lovely food, great service, brilliant atmosphere.been here several times lately and it has fast become our favourite eating place.Varied menu, we have told many friends how good it is.The garden is great for the grandchildren, and the children's menu is amazing.

Stopped for 3 quick halves of beer when out walking in the area. Firstly I couldn't get served because the bar maid was struggling to answer questions from customers in front of me regarding which food was gluten free, this dragged on for 5 mins. I understand that it's now law, that all staff are trained in this, and they have an...

Been here countless times but most recently I was very disappointed. Why? Chips fried with their skins on. Now I know some (I emphasise some) actually like their chips this way, some don't mind and don't aver an opinion and some, I would suggest the majority, strongly dislike them this way. For the kitchen, this is the easy way out...

Stumbled on this place while out walking. Barmaid was just closing up when we arrived at 3pm, but still offered us drinks. She told us about the folk night they have every Thursday so we decided to return. We arrived early - good job we did, it got packed! Around 12 people, many different instruments (including the spoons!), sad songs,...

Straightforward, well-cooked and presented food, good beer, rustic surroundings and good value for money. There is little to disappoint here. Very popular for a Friday in late January, which must be a testament to its quality.

We love this pub! Stay here three of four times a year. Always enjoy the place, people and food. Lovely rooms. Food is usual pub grub, breakfast is delicious and the staff always very friendly. We will be back!

Great food, cooked to perfection. Rustic feel, dogs welcome. Great beer, live music night, local performers. Very relaxed, eat in the garden, has accommodation. Off the beaten track & worth the effort. We go here for Sunday lunch after walking the dogs, amazing. Gets very busy. Have also eaten on live music nights. Casual, fun, noisy!

So pleased we had Sunday lunch here. It was really busy but the service was great and as always there was a lovely choice of real ales. Must try the traditional pizza cooked in the authentic way some time

Three of us had a meal here on a cold Tuesday evening. The pub is tastefully decorated and quite spacious, although it soon started to fill up. Staff were friendly and helpful and the full menu supported by a range of specials meant it was hard to decide what to choose. After much ruminating we chose from the main menu...
