We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Walford Court. Our hosts (Debbie and Craig) were so welcoming. The historic building is simply stunning, we had a great night's sleep and breakfast was yummy (especially the delicious freshly pressed apple juice from their orchard!!)

Stayed here just for the one night and my only complaint was it wasn't long enough. A beautiful building over 500 years old, I believe, with timbered beams, roll top baths in the suites and warm and friendly hosts.

Absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful rural setting, spacious, luxurious suite with lots of thoughtful touches like candles, bathrobes, and homemade muffins. We felt thoroughly spoiled and so relaxed. Lovely breakfasts too.

Stayed in Aragon Suite for two nights. Can't sing its praises highly enough. Very atmospheric with exposed wooden beams, extremely comfortable four poster bed, well and appropriately furnished separate sitting room with variety of teas and coffee on tap. Hosts Debbie and Craig have thought of all the little extras, even the muffin tin seems to replenish itself. Breakfasts superb...

We stayed here for two nights and were very impressed with the lovely old building and the high standards of service and food provided by Debbie and Craig. The homemade cakes in your room and the homemade lemon curd at breakfast were delicious as were the perfectly cooked eggs from their hens. We were in the Courthouse suite which was...

During our trip to the UK in 2011 we stayed at Walford Court and couldn't believe what a fantastic place this is to stay. So this year (June 2016) on our trip to the UK we organised our tour to stay there again, this time for 4 nights. The rooms are big, airy and light and beds very comfortable plus...

Greeted with a warm welcome to a quaint old building in a good location. Shown to The Aragon Suite with a magnificent very comfortable four poster bed. There were however many original low beams. No en-suite but there was a bath in the bedroom! Entrance to the suite was through a lounge which included a toilet compartment having just a...

Thank you so much for taking time to write a lovely review. We have 3 very different and very characterful rooms, 2 of which are Suites with separate sitting rooms. Because the rooms are so different we don't allocate rooms to guests, they are advertised with photographs so guests can choose their favourite! We actually chose Walford Court as our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Walford Court is a 500 year old listed property, which was once a Courthouse. Its sits amongst one of the most tranquil and scenic spots in the country just a short drive from Ludlow; one of our guests commented that it was "reminiscent of the Darling Buds of May era." At Walford Court, we take our green surroundings seriously and have been awarded both wildlife and environmentally friendly awards. A stay at Walford Court is a must for anyone who loves good quality food. You'll find local cheeses, local organic muesli and local apple juice on the breakfast table, and we are 3 times winners in the Flavours of Herefordshire awards. Everything possible is home grown and home baked in the Aga - we provide candlelit evening meals in the old dining room with the exposed bread oven - or in the garden by the stream. As everything is home baked we can cater for special diets. Treat yourself to a romantic stress relieving weekend at the old courthouse. ... more   less
