Noisy, shoddy, overpriced. When we booked in we were told there was a group who might be noisy - "just ring us and my husband will get up and tell them to be quiet." "Pay now and then there's no argument." ??? And they were noisy- no insulation meant partying plus noise of neighbours toiletting kept us awake. Their cigarette...

We were in a 2 bdrm unit. Impressed how well equipped it was incl plunger coffee, beautiful white towels, eco bathroom toiletries, plenty of mirrors, 2 Tvs and dvd in back room, great bed and pillows. Plenty of room and lovely and clean. Water pressure fantastic and loved the shower. Only criticisms would be that we couldnt use the pool...

Stayed here as we had an event at the Police College to go too. Bed not that comfortable. We had other family staying across from us in the other big building - sadly the police were called at early hours of the morning as some young guys had, had a party & then trashed the room. To the Hotels credit...

Mostly great service, although little miscommunication on actual prices even though I'd rung with the changes made (when hubby paid the bill he said he had to explain it five times again)! Whoops and we were still overcharged. Can't change it easily but the size of the toilet room/bathroom really lets this place down..little more than the length of an...

Our third time visiting Aotea. Rooms are perfect for our family of 4 and the children absolutely love the indoor pool located conveniently next the restaurant. Affordable and a good location for our needs.

Really enjoyed my stay. Yes the decor is dated, but all effort is made to provide comfort and there is everything you need. Its like going to stay with long time friends. What I like is the setting. It is has large grounds with a garden area and a feeling of expanse, facing north west for best exposure to the...

I spent a couple of nights at Aotea Lodge recently and while it's heavy on the 80's vibe and could do with a bit of an update, my room was spotlessly clean and despite its proximity to SH1, was very quiet. The room was large, the staff are lovely and if you don't mind the time warp, I thoroughly recommend...

A great place to stay, décor was a little dated (80's) however had everything we needed, units were serviced daily. The units were clean and well catered. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to assist. We stayed for 3 nights and have booked to stay again later in the year for a longer period of...
