I stayed for two nights, and immediately felt at ease, a comfortable setting and good staff. Nice and clean. I enjoyed the food at the restaurant, watching the waiter was like watching a dance. Stayed in one of the courtyard suites, was nice and private, plenty of space. If I head back to KI I'll go back. enjoyed my short...

When you are looking for an hotel on Kangaroo Island far from cities, the choice is quite limited. However, despite Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat is very isolated, they don't take advantage of that, and the place is very charming and friendly for a reasonable cost. We had a very nice room (the only strange thing was the shower without any...

Spent two nights, the place is gorgeous, very close to the park. A little bit far from the ferry arrival, but lonely and in the middle of nature. We stayed in apartment, all the facilities are inside. Very nice staying, despite te bad weather.

The Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat is a perfect base to explore the Western End of Kangaroo Island, especially the Flinders Chase National Park, where "Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch" are easily accessible. The Flinders Chase visitors centre is a must! It is a great place to start from, they have a great cafe and gift shop as well as a...

we booked i here for a well earned break assuming from the advertisement that we had a private courtyard where we could relax in ambient surroundings. Not so... It is a small veranda which opens onto the walk way and is opposite the restaurant. Very public. The rooms are long and dark and not for spending much time in, bathroom...

I'm not a big fan of showers without a separator from the rest of the bathroom, i.e. the room had a shower curtain around the area to shower, but as the water comes out pretty hard (even turned on soft) and gets a good part of the bathroom floor wet. It's all tile, so no worry, but you will need...

Lovable resort in a wonderful place, few minutes from the Flinder Chase Park and the Koala Walk. The staff, friendly and helpful, gave us a lot of useful information and the resident wallabies stole our hearts. The restaurant is good, just a bit costly (but one should consider how distant the nearest village is). Great breakfast at the Flinder Chase...

I sayed at the Kangaroo island wilderness retreat for one night. We stayed in one of the courtyard suites which was great! The rooms had a very homely feel and were very comfortable, an even included foxtel! The bathrooms were a bit tired, but still were great none the less! I loved that there was wildlife hopping all around, which...

Loved KI Wilderness Retreat. We stayed in one of the courtyard suites and our friends were given the room next to us. The manager and assistant manager were more than helpful. We had a problem with our air conditioner and it was addressed immediately and fixed. We asked for the interconnecting door to be unlocked and it was done immediately....

We took the offered upgrade when we checked in,and we were quite happy with our suite. Right off the common grounds, we had a good view of the wallabies who came to feed out front. We also then had a pleasant deck to sit on and enjoy our breakfast. The unit had an electric kettle and a small refrigerator which...
