Ok first of all there are surely much worse places to stay in and remote lodges tend to be a bit pricy on general. Let's start with the positive things. The location is great. 10 minutes drive to flinders Chase national park and even around the hotel some nice walls with the opportunity to spot wildlife. Very very nice staff....

Everything was fantastic - from the great emails organising accommodation, venue facilities, 3 course dinner for 30, staff, breakfast - there was nothing we could fault. The food for the dinner was amazing - could have been a gourmet meal in a city restaurant. The staff were very polite, helpful and happy. All 30 of us would love to return.

The retreat is a good place to stay when visiting Flinders Chase for the first time. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, although the air con in ours was pretty noisy. Staff were friendly & helpful and good provided service The restaurant is quiet good with a small but good menu at night, mind you there is no where...

KIWR is almost literally the only place to stay (and quite literally the only place to get a decent breakfast and evening meal) on the western end of Kangaroo Island. It's fortunate then that there are at least two standards of accommodation to choose from and that (in our case) the "Courtyard Suites" are very very comfortable and highly recommended....

We stayed here for two nights recently and were happy with the accommodation. KIWR is located just outside the Flinders Chase NP so very handy to see all the sites there. It is set in natural bushland and is pretty remote, so it's handy that there's an onsite restaurant - which is good because it's not safe to drive a...

Stayed there for one night, was a very quiet and relaxing place. Rooms are very nice and clean. What we liked a lt were the Wallabies and Koalas which you can see around when its getting dark. You can borrow a torch from the reception and discover the animals around. The Wallabies come very close to your door as you...

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights at KI Wilderness Lodge after buying a Groupon Voucher, which made our stay a bargain. We were in an eco lodge room which is their most basic room. The room was clean which is the most important thing, with the bedding and towels being spotless. The room is a old and could do...

It's location is close to the best part of Flinders Chase National Park. The parks visitor center is about 20 minutes away by car, and the Admirals Arch is about 35 minutes away. The retreats restaurant has a good menu, and the food is excellent. The rooms are rustic and adequate, but the staff are helpful and friendly. In the...

This was the perfect blend of comfort, adequate luxury and an immersion in the unspoilt beauty of Flinders Chase. We were impressed by the friendly staff who modelled respect for the environment. The location was perfect with stunning walks within easy reach, all the rooms facing a natural courtyard for visitors to enjoy, even the resident wallabies and possums to...
