We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. Friendly and helpful staff, silent place and comfortable bed. As we were visiting the Route du Vin, this hotel is located close to the center of this Route, which makes it easier to travel in both directions (and is only 100 meters away from a highway). In site parking is also very convenient.

Location is quiet and relaxing.

We had a triple room, which was spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds. Large bathroom.

Breakfast buffet is simple, but adequate.

Owner/manager is very friendly and helpful.

There is a great little restaurant, Auberge des Sauterelles, just 5 minutes walk away.

Highly recommend

This place was pre-booked for me as part of a bicycle trip. I arrived at 12 noon and found the doors locked and noticed a sign saying reception opens at 4 PM. There was a number to call, but I decided to sit at a table and relax and listen to the birds and frogs (in the ponds in the garden) and also work some on my computer. The room is good and modern and quiet. The internet is fast. The owner made breakfast (which was OK) earlier than normal (for a Sunday) just for me. My only complaint is the blanket / duvet was too thick and therefore, too hot for me, so did not sleep as well as wanted.

We stopped in Semersheim as part of our Alsace cycling tour and stayed at Hotel au Relais de I'lll.

We arrived at 3pm but the hotel was unattended until 4pm, so another guest let us in and we waited in the dining area until the staff arrived a little while later. They were lovely and friendly... the hotel looks mid-size but it wasn't very busy so the service was very personal.

Our room was very comfortable and clean with a nice big bathroom. I imagine you could use this hotel for a base for exploring the wine route if you needed to, but the catch is that Semersheim, in August, is all closed up. There were no local restaurants to go to for dinner and we ended up riding to the next town along to get a take away pizza from a pizza truck for dinner which we ate overlooking a field (it was actually a really lovely experience but I imagine its not for everyone).

Luckily the hotel puts on a very good breakfast so we were right for the next day of pedaling.

I'd recommend this hotel if you are in the neighbourhood and need somewhere to stay but if you are looking for nightlife, you might want to consider a bigger town.

This little hotel is very charming with beautiful gardens all around. It was quiet too, which is a big plus for us. The owner was very helpful and kind. The breakfast had everything we wanted.
We loved that area and found a great restaurant in Ebersmuster called Aux Deux Clefs, where they have a delicious fish dish called Matelot. Go there!

We stopped at this Hotel in the summer on the first night of our 6000km drive round Europe. The landlady was lovely and sorted us out with some food and drink even though it was very late when we arrived. Would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling round Europe. Beautiful countryside and about an hour from the Swiss border
