Stayed two nights in Loch Gorm House, Shouldn't really be called a 'B&B' its so much better than many first class hotels I have stayed in. The Quality is simply outstanding. Fiona does her very best to ensure everything is as it should be. The Front two Bedrooms are excellent with phenomenal views across the Loch. The Lounge is breathtaking...

Fiona's house and gardens are stunning and the situation overlooking the Loch is to die for. We could not get enough of the view from our yellow bedroom regardless of the weather. The welcoming hot scones and home made jam set the tone for the excellent breakfasts on offer each morning. We seemed to linger longer each morning chatting to...

Fiona, the host and owner, greeted us with tea and sweets; we were tired from the ferry crossing and whisky tasting earlier in the day so this was a real treat. Fiona made dinner reservations for us for our first two nights as table space is at at premium in June, both places she picked were fabulous! The only two...

We stayed here while whiskey tasting on Islay. The house is a beautiful early 1900's with high ceilings and tastefully decorated. The bathrooms are newly remodeled. No detail was overlooked. Conveniently, it's also only 1/2 mile from Bruichladdich. Fiona is an amazing host. She made us dinner reservations for each night, just in case we hadn't thought of it. She...

Staying at “Loch Gorm House” was an amazing experience during our visit to Islay. This B&B is conveniently located by the sea. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and confortable, and two of the rooms have a stunning ocean view. Breakfasts are wonderful. We were welcomed by Fiona, the owner and hostest, who was amazingly warm and looked into every...

Room - amazing. Location - fantastic (especially if you like the Bruichladdich distillery). Food - incredible. Fiona's fully cooked Scottish breakfast or smoked haddock is truly delicious and will keep you going through your first couple of whiskies for the day. Located a very short walk to the little township of Bruichladdich (pronounced very roughly as Bruick Laddie) and the...

Stayed at Fiona's wonderful house on a recent combined biking/whisky pilgrimage with my neighbour and biking friend. Fiona made us very welcome and couldn't do more to make our stay a special one. Both bedrooms looked over the bay, and the bathroom in mine was nothing less than spectacular, as was the breakfast, which was a) tasty, b) varied across...

Given that there are no five star hotels in Islay, I was a little apprehensive of the quality of rooms that one would have to live with. Loch Grom was top notch 5 star both in terms of room type and service. Fiona, the landlady is very welcoming.. Her breakfast finger licking and the scones were best i have ever...

This beautiful home right on the water and a few minutes walk from Bruichladdich Distillery is simply a gem. My room (the yellow room) had a view of the loch, and was sumptuously furnished, with a marble bathroom and tea tray and everything you would possibly want. Hostess Fiona Doyle is a gifted chef (and the island florist as well...
