An Taigh Osda is a delightful boutique hotel and fine restaurant - located bang next door to the famous Bruichladdich Distillery. The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable with their own spacious bathrooms - all overlooking the sea and the far coastline of eastern Islay. A double room cost us £150 per night and whilst this is certainly not...

Our friend recommended this B&B, having stayed here 2 years ago on a family trip with adult children. So, the 4 of us, two adult couples came over by ferry and booked for two nights to explore the distilleries of Islay and anything else on the island. The accommodations are first class. Rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. Beds are great....

Stayed here for 3 nights to explore Islay. Paul and Joan have created a very special ambience. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable with excellent facilities and a luxurious bathroom. Meals were cooked by Joan and were excellent. She used locally sourced produce and the menu was changed daily. Both Joan and Paul were friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was...

Great location on Loch Indaal. Our room faced the loch, which was even more special. The room and its facilities were excellent, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Attention to detail. My only criticism - and it is very minor, was that the hospitality tray was on a bottom shelf near floor. We just lifted it up, as we both have...

Stayed here for 4 nights to see Islay and Jura. For a small place with 5 rooms you could not ask for better. Rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything needed including wifi. Just watch your head in rooms 4 & 5, and on the stairs to the 2nd floor!!!!. Food is outstanding, if a bit pricy at £40 for...

Your hosts Paul and Joan are extremely welcoming as soon as you enter the door. Joan's cooking is superb. The rooms are spotless and have all the amenities you expect in a 4/5* hotel. There is a small bar and lounge where Paul will help you with your choice of whisky and any other drink he has in his 'cupboard'....

Hospitality excellent, food to die for, very clean ,fantastic rooms and of a decent size. Three is nothing not to like about this place. Next door to Bruichladdich distillery, amazing views of the Loch, very personal service, great food, a nice lounge for a pre or post dinner whisky and advice about how to get the most out of the stay. Rooms modern, comfortable and good bathroom. We will be back

This is a fantastic hotel. The bedrooms are very well appointed and comfortable and the food is to die for. Paul and Joan were very welcoming and Paul's knowledge of Islay is very useful. The small bar is extremely well stocked with the local whiskies and again Paul's knowledge of these is very helpful in making the right decision. We...
